If you have little kids like I do and they don't express any interest in music but want to look like daddy from time to time, then you probably need a stringed paddle that your little child could treat his own and destroy the way he wants without touching your guitar. This is the right choice for that purpose, especially on the prime deal discount. However, if you (or your child) are a real beginner and want to learn guitar, you need a real musical instrument that makes an exact note with good sustain on every fret, holds the tune so that you don't need to tune it up every minute, and does not make an extraneous buzzing noise when playing. That's very important for the beginner! Otherwise, you'll never feel that you can play clean and nice music and will just abandon the idea of learning the guitar. So, once again, if you really want to play, don't try to save by buying any kind of cheap kit. Go for a real instrument even if it feels expensive for you, it is worth it. ... show more

When I got mines, the neck needed to be fixed because it messed up the sound of the small e string on the first fret. There was no way I could fix it so I paid $100 extra to get it fixed. Also the aux cable cord did not last long, so now I have to buy another. Now that the guitar is fixed it plays well. But I shouldn’t have had to pay out of pocket at all for a brand new guitar. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Do yourself a favor, buy a tuner! It sounds very out of tune out the box but I have no experience nor have I ever played guitar but with some simple free lessons it comes with, I was able to start a little something within the hour! Everything was good except for the amp it did not work at all so we rebought it just so we could replace that amp . And it worked this time great quality and sounds like an electric guitar. My daughter is excited to learn all of her fav alternative songs .
