I purchased this keyboard for my teenager who requested one for her birthday. We found the learning part works well on the iPad, the kindle she says is just too small. I love that she can put on headphones and no one else has to listen to her practicing, though with the neighbor boy playing drums at night I am likely to get her a speaker to aim out her window at that house and have her go at when we finishes! The new neighbor battle of the quiet evenings aside, this keyboard is solid. It just moved with us and no issues, not even with the tablet stand. I am impressed. The keys are weighted and I guess that is important from what she has told me. She says it is a great keyboard for a beginner and doesn't seem cheap at all. I decided to pick up learning the piano at the age of 43 with no prior experience. I wanted to buy something cheap to learn on in case I flaked out on it :) Turns out, I love playing and never miss a day. This keyboard has been a wonderful companion and I have loved learning on it. It's lightweight and portable and has tons of options for tones and rhythms, most of which I don't use, but it's cool to know they are there if I want to mix things up from time to time. The only thing holding me back from giving a five star rating is that the music stand is horrible and almost entirely useless. I had to remove it and I simply lay the music flat over the back end of the piano. NOT ideal, but for now, it's working well enough for me. The second and last reason for not awarding a "perfect score" is that when the volume is up high, depending on the tone you are using, the speakers vibrate on some notes and it's less than lovely. ...I am sure that sounds unsavory for potential buyers, but honestly, for the money, this is a great little keyboard. I have traveled with it several times and I have used it every single day and it's been a good instrument. For the price, you really can't go wrong. Great for kids or adults. I am going to be buying a Casio Privia in the fall, but I will be keeping this keyboard for travel. Even with the issues I have mentioned above, I really feel it's worth every cent of the price. ... show more

I bought this for myself. Used to play when I was younger. For the money this is an excellent value. I bought one for $40.00 from Walmart before Christmas and it was junk. I decided to pay more and get what I wanted. It’s got too many tones and rhythms for a beginner. But you can’t find just a plain keyboard these days. ONLY PROBLEM: the booklet that came with it is small, the print is gray and tiny. ... show more

I bought this keyboard for my 8 year old daughter who really wanted a pair of drums. This keyboard was an affordable substitute to drums. There are many different beats built in. I was upset that the free app they offer is only available for Apple, but there are other keyboard teaching apps available, probably not as good as the one that comes with this though. I am very impressed with the quality of the keyboard for the price! My daughter is very pleased and completely understands why I got her this instead of drums. She just wants to make beats and she is completely able to do so with this keyboard. ... show more

We were encouraged to get a keyboard for our little one who has a musical ear. The first one we bought when she was 2 was $20 and annoying.... This one is a MAJOR upgrade! I think husband and I enjoy it more than our little one. The app that partners with it is neat. We have only had time to do one lesson (major life events) but really easy to set up and listens to the keyboard and is able to tell which note you are playing.....95% of the time. Which is great for a 4 year old! I like the stickers that come with it so that you can familiarize yourself with notes and keys. Lots of fun! Great Keyboard! Highly Recommend! ... show more
