Bought this piano for my 7-year old and she has been very happy with it. In many ways, it looks like a professional piano with a lot of features that impress. The demo stored songs have been really amusing and I'm happy that I have their names as I found them in the manual. Base and chair are sturdy and the size of piano has been very convenient as we put it in the living room. That being said, I haven't been able to find the "free lessons of learning piano" referenced in the manual. My twins were taking an interest in music, so I knew I had to get them an instrument for their 8th birthday. I looked at so many keyboards and had the hardest time choosing between this set and a Casio keyboard. Honestly, this just seemed like a cheap set, while the Casio has touch response keys, which make it more similar to a real piano. Although the Casio was more expensive, I almost got that, but in the end, I chose Rock Jam and am very satisfied. This comes with everything you need! Keyboard, stand, bench, headphones, and sustain pedal. I think the sound is great! It's so easy for my daughters to use and I got them a few piano books, so they're really enjoying it. They're true beginners, but have been playing every day, and in just a few days, they could play some simple Christmas songs. It's a wonderful hobby and so great for their little minds. My 3 year old loves to sit down and play too! Down the road, I might buy the Casio, but for now, this set is perfect for learning and it was affordable, so we're very happy with it. :) ... show more

Learning to play some musical instruments in my retirement has been a goal, so I am not an experienced musician by any means. That being said, I have been pleased with this keyboard but a couple of things to note. First, the "music holder" is secured by only 2 small plastic tabs. The weight of a tablet on the holder causes is to flex periously. I am concerned the tabs could break dropping my tablet (worth more than the keyboard) to the floor. Second, I've been working through the Simply Piano lessons which I have found to be extremely helpful as a beginner. I was surprised when the app stopped working. Searching back over the keyboard listing, there are several places that mention the "FREE" Simply Piano lessons, but only 1 very, very hard to see place that says "TWO MONTHS" If you wish to continue it's either $9.95 Month for a year (billed as a lump sum of $119.95) or $19.95 Month for 3 months (billed at $59.95). The media could not be loaded. I bought this for my 8 year old granddaughter but it is a hit in our house! Everyone has taken their turn with playing the piano. My granddaughter is taking it home, so it looks like I will be buying another for our home. It comes with a sturdy stand and seat, although I would not put more than 180 pounds on it. It has so many sounds and rhythms that you can make any type off music. The keyboard functions very well, and it is an awesome product! I do not understand all of the positive reviews. If I were still in the return window and if my husband hadn't thrown away the packaging, I would definitely return this because it is the worst-sounding keyboard I have ever heard. My toddler has Baby Einstein toys that sound better than this. I am a voice teacher and I needed to purchase a decent keyboard so that I could teach over Zoom while I was traveling to my parents out of state. With all of the positive reviews and for a $110 investment, I figured this wouldn't be as good as what I'm used to but it would do the job of allowing me to continue teaching smooth lessons—I'm not a great pianist to begin with, so literally all I need it to do is play block chords and not sound ridiculous. First of all, the default volume setting is the loudest setting. This means that if you have a toddler running around turning the keyboard on and off, no matter how low you set the volume, it's always going to be ridiculously loud when it turns back on. It also means that when the keyboard keeps on periodically turning off while you are teaching (?!) you have to adjust the volume again. Secondly, there is a huge variety of sounds available, but unfortunately none of them actually sound ANYTHING like a piano. The setting that they designate as piano is just atrocious. I have used different sounds like marimba while teaching my voice lessons because it's a little less jarring and it makes my young students laugh. I work with some professional-level students and I feel self conscious telling them that I have to use marimba or another sound so their ears don't bleed. The other big problem is that when I play a chord on this keyboard, sometimes the sound cuts out and turns back on again very loudly! It's jarring and embarrassing for me when this happens. I feel very unprofessional and flustered when I teach on this keyboard. I could have just used my kid's toy piano from Melissa and Doug and I would have felt more confident. ... show more
