The media could not be loaded. The installation was prettt easy to me. I don't have a wired doorbell. I downloaded the app and went through the setup using the app. I drilled the given screws onto the bracket on my door and placed the ring device into the bracket. It has a sturdy bracket and no matter how hard the door may slam closed, it doesn't fall off. I didn't sign up for a subscription to anything, although you can for more options of recording, audio, and saved memory. It's not heavy. It has a night vision that comes on automatically at nights. The motion picks up frequently whether humans or animals and you can adjust it too. It notifies you of motion, a ring, and even notifies you of other people in your area who has any ring device about things going on around you. For example, robberies, crime, theft, gunshot sounds, police activity, lost pets, power outage and more! I freaking love it!! You can help report if you seen anything or if you need help with anything. You can adjust all settings with notifications, motion detections, the frequency of it, recordings, audio, doorbell sound and more. Others can gain access if you want others connected to the ring too like your significant other or kids within the home or not. The close to your modem or router or Wi-Fi box the better for the signal. The quality is high definition and it doesn't buffer nor delay. You can speak to anybody through the ring whose outside your door whether you're home or not. You can tune into people conversation outside the door too. The peripheral view of the camera is amazing too with how far out it captures things. Well worth my investment!! Also, I purchased the ring chime and set it up. I plugged it into a wall outlet where I could hear it when someone rings the doorbell or someone walks near and by the ring device. It alerts me either way. I love my doorbell. And I have several Ring cameras around the house. Quality picture both day and night time. Connects to your Wi-Fi very easily. Great functionality and decent sound quality. Excellent value especially when you're catching a prime sale!

Installing this was actually simple. I love the video quality, I also like the app. The neighborhood feature can get overwhelming with all the notifications, however you can limit that. I also love the voice feature. I like that I can talk to people through the door even when I'm not home.

The RING doorbell is a great tool for security. The video is clear and easy to save to your phone. The night vision is pretty good compared to some other doorbell cameras. I have had mine for about a year now and it still works like day 1. There is one problem, the battery can take up to 8 or more hours to charge and my battery now only lasts about 2 weeks. I'm not saying don't buy this doorbell, but you may want to get a spare battery. If it was not for the battery, I would have given it 5 stars. ... show more

Works well and the battery lasts a decent time before needing recharging. I like the motion detection function on the camera. I had to adjust the zones to prevent from the camera going off all the time (it picked up traffic from the street) but this is easily adjustable from the Ring app. I purchased a one year plan with Ring that allows “neighbors” (I.e. people who have Ring cameras and can share info about crime and other events in the surrounding areas) and so far haven’t had any issues with the service. It does require installation so you will need common tools for this or hire a handyman. Overall, I would definitely purchase again. ... show more

Works great with a large view, but I discovered that the solar charge for the doorbell doesn't save you much; however, be sure to charge battery up to 100% prior to connecting the solar panel.
