I just received my Ring Door yesterday, it takes about 12 hours for the battery to charge. I installed it today, super easy! Just follow the prompts on the Ring App. I don’t have a hard wired doorbell, so we’ll see how long before I have to remove the battery to recharge it. I bought this as a second doorbell for my house. It looked new, but when I looked for the security screws for the cover, they did not exist. They actually charge you to get replacements for these tiny little things! Not cool. The other issue is connectivity. Hardwiring is not an option for me, and I have a midcentury bungalow with heavy plaster walls. Despite the chime and internet expanders, it is hit or miss with the connection. I was skeptical about purchasing a refurbished camera but figured why not save some money where we can worse case scenario we would just return it. Luckily though we have had zero issues with this refurbished camera it works great, we were very close to getting a regular ring 3 just because it’s much cheaper until I came across these refurbished ones. We have had the camera for a couple of months now and no issues what so ever I can 100% say it works just as good as a brand new one would. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. *Originally bought September 2021* Wanted to wait to leave a review until we had it for a while and saw how it worked through winter. It only disconnected once and it was due to an ice storm - real thick layer of ice, that’s only issue. It’s worked just fine, we recently got the solar panel attachment for it! The clarity on videos are clear both for night and day. The motion activity for it is set up in the settings, there are a few different areas that you can control the sensitivity and the area or zone of the activity. I bought this for our large old house. Previously we had be using a cheap wireless doorbell it pretty much worked when it wanted to and you could only hear it in the living room where it was plugged in. So when I found this as a refurbished deal. I said what the heck and bought it. In fairness I am also a heavy Alexa user so it integrated well with the equipment we already had on hand. So I've had it set up for a couple of weeks now. Works wonderfully with Alexa now whenever someone comes to the door I get an announcement at all devices and I can view the video on any of our echo shows to see who's at the door. This is especially helpful for one of my daughters who has anxiety issues she can how see who's at the door before even going to the door and respond to them through the ring camera if she doesn't want to go to the door. ... show more
