Freedom from the cord! It's decently made, certainly not as good as my old corded Bosch. If you use a jigsaw a lot and don't mind a cord, the Bosch was a dream. Soooo well made and soooo smooth and soooo precise. The Ridgid isn't as good as my old Bosch, but it is cordless. I bought this to replace my 40 year old, worn-out Black & Decker. Now I can follow a line easily, it cuts great, plus it uses the same battery pack and charger as my other Ridgid tools.

    • Great product, poor packaging
The product is fine, but I am surprised it arrived in one piece. It is new in a sealed bag, but that is it they shipped it in a bag, not a box. It was not boxed at all. I give them 5 stars, but please package feature orders in a box to protect it.

Ridgid tools arenthe best battery operated tools out there.they also' lifetime warrant their tools and 3yrs to lifetime on the batteries. No one else does that. But, only if purchased through Home Depot. I had to return and buy from home depot and now have the warranty at no additional cost.
