First I hate the flashing red light. A smaller constant on light would let me know its working. Not sure if it is working. You need open sight lines for best effectiveness. this can be hard to achieve. These devices need to wend sound waves in several directions for better results. Maybe it's a coincidence that we are not getting bugs anymore in our covered patio, however I don't know why that would be. It's still hot weather., we normally would still be getting bugs. We laugh when we see flies fly in and quickly fly back out! I have 2 outlets on this patio and I plugged a RIDDEX Plus Insect Repellent plug-in into both outlets.
