This has a very strong peppermint smell and has worked great to get rid of the ants. It is not a fine mist and comes out milky white. I have been spraying just a little and wiping it with a paper towel to coat the whole surface. You will smell the peppermint for quite sometime and the ants stay away. I sprayed the surface everyday for a week and didn’t see any more ants so I stopped spraying. Not sure if they gave up and moved on or what but I’m pleased with the results. ... show more

    • Labeling Wrong
On the label it says 4.0 percent cedar oil. The bottle I got say 3.5 percent. I'm not sure this makes a difference. We will see. I am dealing with NYC cockroaches.

    • Smells good, but doesn't seem very effective, and is messy.
Update to my original review below: Adding a star for impressive customer service. After seeing my disappointment, the seller reached out and offered a refund along with their apologies that I wasn't fully pleased with the product. Even though this item just didn't work out for me, I'll keep an eye on the seller's page to see if something else catches my interest. Any company with excellent customer service is worth giving another chance! --------------------------------- While I really enjoy the peppermint scent, it seems as if all the little creepy crawlies don't mind it much either. I tried targeted use on a couple spiders and little insects, but they just skittered right through, unphased. Then I tried using it as preventative, spraying it in corners and crevices where they usually get into the house, which did absolutely nothing. The scent fades very quickly, and the liquid comes out in a messy, drippy stream instead of any sort of proper spray. I thought maybe the nozzle was clogged, so I ran it under hot water to clean it, and found no difference in the way it came out. Disappointed, but oh well. At least it smells good. ... show more

    • Do not get this item-it does not REPEL ANTS
So I purchased Kate's home & garden insect & pest control due to having ant issues. They were on the stairs in front of my house and on the window in my kitchen. So I followed the instructions and spray the area to repel ants from coming in. It does killed the ants when you spray directly on them, but after I spray the windows in my kitchen and the stairs in front of my house, a few minutes later the ants were walking in the same area that I just sprayed like nothing was there and they were not bother by the ingredients in the insect pest control. What a waste of money, time and the smell of the product is not that great either but I tolerate it if it would repel the ants. I used it for a total of 3 days, I keep having to spray the kitchen window every day and like clockwork these ants would come back to the area that was sprayed like nothing had been sprayed. So I would recommend getting another product to keep the ants out and not spend money on this product because IT DOES NOT WORK! ... show more

    • I did not think this would work
I live in an old house with a partially finished basement where I work out every morning. There are tons of spiders in every corner and webs everywhere, and while I am not afraid of spiders, I do not like walking through webs and seeing dead bugs in the corners. I saw that peppermint oil was a way to deter spiders but did not have the energy to make my own concoction. So I gave this a try with very low expectations that it would work, or if it did, that it would last. I cleared out the visible webs with a swiffer duster (and there were a lot) and then sprayed all of the places that I had seen spiders and webs. The smell was pleasant and not too strong at the beginning but then dissipated by the next time I went downstairs. Now 5 or 6 weeks later, I still do not see any spiders and I have not had random webs come across my face when I go to my work out area. Very pleased! ... show more

    • Doesn't really work, or maybe my ants are on steroids.
Listen, this may or may not work honestly. I don't know! But all I know is that if you apply it directly on to the ants they for sure die. Great, that's what we want. Yet when I spray it wound the trail they frequent they come marching back 20 minutes later and raid my damn kitchen like stronger. So maybe the ants around my home are just built different? I'm not an entomologist but dang them ants are crazy. SO like I guess I'll do something else. I found that perfume kinda works so I'll go use up all the perfume in the house before I buy a god damn flame thrower. Anyway, this spray was dog water and ants are on some drugs, I'll give the spray a few stars for effort! Thank you and bye. ... show more
