  • exactly what i needed
Color: Silver
ok so I bought this in 2021 but Im writing a review for it now (in 2024) because I dropped that little remote control and I contacted the seller - to ask if i can buy another remote. Seller responded super quick and instead of telling me how to buy another remote - they actually sent me a free remote. it came in like 3-4 days - so yeah! Im super impressed bc I bought this 3 years ago and I didn't even make a review of it back then. So bc the seller has great customer service - I wanted to write a review from the perspective of a person who has used this great little treadmill for 3 years. You literally take it out of the box annnnnnnd turn it on and there you have it - a great little treadmill. There is no fuss, there is no putting anything together. I would totally get a pad or some of those furniture leg mini pads. I have hard wood floors and although i don't run on this treadmill - i don't want anything to happen to my floor. I paired it with a standing desk and I look at my laptop while i do my daily walk. I never had a problem with it. I moved it a couple times when we had guests over. you pick up the back part of the treadmill and you wheel it to your new destination. kind of like a wheelbarrow movement. I can do it and Im a little over 100 pounds. So the caveat with this review is - I am not a large person. and I do not run on this. so my perspective is from a person who uses this daily but lightly. Also I specifically wanted a treadmill in my dining room - so I don't want anything bulky and make my room feel like a fitness room. I actually have a big regular treadmill in my basement that my husband uses. I hate that thing - it's bulky and SO loud. So this treadmill is just for me. I'll answer some possible questions: 1. does it seem sturdy - it does for what it is. are you expecting the same type of feel like the treadmill at Lifetime Fitness - of course not. it looks an feel like a neat modern equipment. The only thing that seems totally not sturdy is the remote - it looks and feel cheap. 2. how loud is it? I have taken phone calls while Im doing a slow walk. You can do it and conversation can be heard from both parties - talking with your family and friends - totally yea - but I wouldn't take any business calls bc of the white noise. 3. any cons: the tread part doesn't have a lot of padding. if you are planning to run on this - maybe some of your might find it too hard. I don't run - so Im not sure. When you stop the machine - it does have a countdown - and when the countdown ends - there is a little jolt. and the jolt is enough to startle you a bit. so i always make sure to get off before the countdown stops. (if you are an old person - just be aware) (one last thing - the new remote they sent me does not look same as the original one - i guess they upgraded their remote. But i used it and it works! This one definitely looks more modern and it's super slick - this one also doesn't feel super sturdy but it works!) thanks seller- im enjoying my treadmill! ... show more

  • Great value, smooth motion, sturdily built
Color: Silver
I have owned this walking pad for just over a month and have used it every day since receiving it. For reference: I am a 38 year old woman, (5'8'' and size 18/230 lbs.) and my husband is 43 years old, (6'1'' and size 38/238lbs.). We both wanted to drop some "covid" weight and generally feel better health-wise, so we agreed this walking pad was a smart buy. It is sturdy, easy to move (I moved it alone and stood it on its' end, leaning against the wall in a closet when we had a guest - took me less than a minute) and my new favorite thing! A few things to note: -At start of use, both hubby and I were over the "weight limit," but it was a non-issue. I started walking 1 mile a day, now I'm up to 2.5 miles a day, which takes roughly 50 minutes, and the pad continues to impress! Even better, my hubby and I are both almost down to the "weight limit" of 220 now! -I have experienced the belt "slippage" that some have mentioned when walking at slower speeds, however, I'm a power walker and am consistently pounding on this thing at a 5.5 speed (my husband at a 6) - there is no slippage once we get up to faster speeds (3.2 speed I felt the slight slippage, 3.8 speed it was gone). -It does take some getting used to: I haven't fallen off, but I have definitely lost my balance (stopped walking in a straight line for 2 steps when I got tired/lost focus) more than once. I watch TV/movies while walking and if I keep my eyes forward, there is no issue, but when I look to the side that will affect my balance). As a result, I positioned the walking pad near one wall, in the event I need to catch myself (this doesn't happen a lot, but enough that I thought it worth a mention). -My Mom (65 years old) tried the walking pad, but felt uncomfortable not having arms to brace herself on in the event she lost her footing, so she opted to purchase a treadmill with arms included. I get it, not worth the fall risk if you're elderly, unsteady, or just plain nervous about it (and a treadmill might be the right choice for you). -We have the pad on carpet, without a mat underneath it - no problem! Works as expected, carpet is not damaged. -The display is in kilometers, but I use my apple watch to track my distance, so this isn't a deal-breaker for me. -Yes, there is a loud beep when you turn it on, and again during the 3 second/3 beep count-down prior to the belt beginning to move at an incredibly slow speed. There is also loud beeping as you set the speed - depending on your environment, this could disturb (coworkers) but I'm using this at home and I could care less, just get me movin'! Overall - a great buy for use at home or for use under a desk while working (for leisurely strolling you wouldn't be at risk for disturbing coworkers or falling, but walking at faster speeds you have the whirr of the belt and the stomp of your feet working together to produce more noise, which might be distracting for colleagues). I don't plan to bring this to work, as I'm using it to "workout" in 50-60 min spurts, rather than to walk all day long. I'm very pleased with this purchase - I hemmed and hawed prior to buying: would I really use it? Was it worth the money? Will it break easily? My concerns seem silly now - if you need to drop a few, stop stalling and just get it! ... show more
