I purchased this for my desk chair w/wheels as my home just had new carpeting put in and working from home requires numerous hours of my chair rolling around the bew carpet The Pros: The mat is anchored very well with the pegs and I have not had a single instance of the mat moving. The mat feels thin and keeping the chair in a singular spot for an expanded amount of time makes me think that it is permanently damaged. But it actually reforms quite decently. Cleaning the mat is easy and can be done with a broom and a papertowel with some Windex or soap and water. Considering the majority of the mats I searched for were upwards of double or more the price of this one. I feel this is a great investment. The Cons: This size mat is not overly large, and desk chairs with wheels will need to mind the edges. If you move when you sit by large amounts, get a larger mat. The mat feels flimsy and keeping your chair in one spot creates a hell of a crevice to adjust out of. This is natural to all chair mats, but this one seemed a bit more susceptible. Verdict: I'm happy with this purchase and as long as you lif t the mat and vacuum under it to help "fluff" the carpet, I have no major deal breakers for this product.     • Can use for under parrot's cage!

While I did get the side of my second life, My only complaint is that it didn't want to unfold out of the box. Otherwise, this mat is very great for being underneath my parrot's cage and keeping the carpet nice and clean. It is super easy to wipe up bird droppings off of, or any droppings for that matter. After her cage was sitting on it for a little while, it did seem like it tended to make a little indent in the mat, but after moving it, the indent has went away. It is perfect for carpet and I'm almost thinking about getting another one to keep the carpet nice and clean. It also does feel very durable; you cannot tear this even if you tried. It has a nice slim thickness to it as well except for the spikes that dig into the carpet as they are supposed to. Overall, get this for your feathered friend and don't worry about the carpet! It will also help with any type of hormonal behavior from your bird due to the carpet. ... show more

i regret not reading the reviews before buying this waste of carbon. the material is cheap PVC-esque plastic, not at all durable and feels brittle to the touch. it was delivered rolled up, which is fine, but trying to unroll this thing by myself in my living room almost killed me. it’s as if they molded the mat and then rolled it up while the plastic was still warm, which created a tightly wound spring. i managed to muscle one edge under my coffee table, used every ounce of strength to pry it open and put another table at the other end, hoping that it’ll soften up a bit now that it’s inside. that was last night, today midday it’s still barely staying open, like a god damn bear trap. one wrong move is going to snap me up and i’ll be stuck inside this thing. waste of money, to the point where it’s literally unsalvageable. i’m especially mad i can’t just get my money back for this hot garbage, i have to send this back and i can’t even get the money back on my credit card. it’s going on my amazon account. so this dumpster fire company is getting the product back to sell to someone else just so they can return it too. i genuinely don’t know how this is a sustainable business model, and it’s a waste of carbon emission shipping just literal waste around the country. ... show more

    • not great if you have a decent to good carpet pad

This is a middle of the road chair mat. Shipment: This item is rolled up in a bag and was delivered in a box. The box looks like it went through the apocalypse, thankfully the product was in good condition. I unrolled it, it had some bends still from being rolled up, but after maybe 24 hours it lays almost perfectly flat. I am sure it will lay flat afterwards. (it does off gas a little bit, but it's what i would consider a normal plastic smell...the smell is gone after 12 hours). Functionality: I have a low profile carpet that I am using this on. Our carpet pad isn't extravagant, but it's not a cheapo one either. This mat does not hold structurally when just the chair sits on the mat. It creates a temporary "dent" in the mat, which actually makes it harder to roll around with than the carpet did. (my office chair has upgraded inline wheels that make it easier to roll around). The dent kind of eats your wheel and because it doesn't resolve itself quickly it sucks you back into that spot again. This would be a great mat for a thin, no carpet pad, doctor's office type carpet or rug. Not great for in-home use, which is a bummer. I'm thinking I will return it. ... show more

At 1st out of the box the matts are a pain to roll out flat. Found that the easiest way is to use a couple of weights on the corners for 1/2hr does the trick and then over the next 24 hours gravity does the rest. So far so good, installed 9 and will follow up if any issues come up.

The media could not be loaded. I have had it one day and I can already tell this product will not last. It is very thin, cheap plastic, and there are already sharp indents where the wheels of the office chair go. For this product being close to $80, I am annoyed at how cheap and low quality it is. Color is fine, and dimensions are fine, that’s why 2 stars instead of 1. However, I would buy a different product instead, if given the opportunity. ... show more

Mat came as expected. Nothing fancy and does the the trick. Haven't had it long enough to speak on durability, but I will say the chemical smell of this mat is overbearing! You'd expect some warehouse or light chemical smell at 1st and for a small duration... but this smell filled up my entire house. I had to have all window and fans blowing to help dissipate, but nopes! Ended up putting it outside over night for the rain and open air to cleanse that sob. -Updating score because they reached out and were willing to resolve the issue. I left it outside for a few days and sprayed with some standard cleaner and it's all good now. Does what chair mats do! ... show more
