We got similar ones at the sleep number store for almost 5x’s the cost of these sheets. The sleep number sheets fell apart after a few months.     • Super Soft but they Shed! UPDATED

I waited for two washings to write this review because of the issue with shedding. But let me start at the beginning. I washed the sheets before using them. They fit my pillow-top mattress with plenty of extra room. The stay fit elastic bands on the corners hardly seem necessary. I was struck by how light-weight they are and I suspect that even if you wad them up in a ball they would not wrinkle. They are super thin, and very, very soft and plush. I want to say "yummy" because the feeling is very velvety and creamy. I love sleeping between these sheets. But they shed! Another reviewer says they pill, but this is not the same as pilling. Pilling to me is very small tight balls that cling to the fabric and make sheets scratchy. That is not the case with these. The "Brushed microfiber" brushes off and gathers into little wafts of cotton. They stick to my skin, and litter the carpet when I brush them off the bed! But they aren't uncomfortable, just a mess. I washed them a second time just to see if it was a one-time problem, but they continue to shed, although not quite as much. I suspect that the more they shed the brushed microfibers, the less soft and creamy they will feel. And then I'll buy more! UPDATE: after several more washes, the sheets no longer shed. They are just as soft (I think). I still love them and will order them again. Perhaps when I get a new set I'll have a comparison to see if they really are just as soft. ... show more

These sheets have a soft feel that seems like a high thread count. The stay fot elastic works great with my sleep number bed, but they are MUCH LESS EXPENSIVE than sleep number charges for their exclusive design...basically the same stay fit piece of elastic!! So these will keep your adjustable mattress sheets in place! ... show more
