    • Wilbur Wright had a good idea too...
...but no one else wanted to fly in his first plane. The concept makes sense. Steams and vacuums at the same time. 2 tasks reduced to 1. Being stainless steel, the machine is pretty, though it's really 2 machines, the vacuum held by a wire on top of the steamer. The steamer works ok, but it's not strong. The vacuum is good. Two stars because the combined hoses are stiff and heavy. The steam isn't sufficient to warrant being combined w/ a vacuum. The two hoses appear to be joined together by a thick plastic overcoat. They stay totally together, but tiring to use, because of the weight of the hose. The stainless will be easily scratched. The parts take strength to put together, and later, to take apart. The DF700's price is very, very high. I thought, it must be the best for this price. Ok, I was a sucker, the marketers fooled me. I returned it and got socked w/ a 20%+ restocking charge, plus I had to ship it back to Canada. I will never buy a non Amazon Prime item again. Expensive lesson learned. In future, I'll use a stand alone steamer, and then either a simple mop, or a separate vacuum. For probably 1/4th the price. And 1/4th the strain. Orville was the smarter brother.     • This Steamer is awesome
I own a hotel with over 100 rooms and I have to say this thing is a beast. We use this almost every single day for the past 2 years and have not had any problems with it whatsoever. It's very sturdy and it's well made. I've spent thousands on other steamers from Amerivap that broke down within 6 months and it was such a hassle to get them repaired and the prices were upwards of $5,000 per unit. This unit was cheaper and it had the added function of having a wet/dry vacuum to it. But for me what really makes this great is the fact it runs on 120v. Most of the commercial steamers out there run on 240v and it's a bit of a hassle going into a guest room and trying to jimmy rig something to run the steamer. It's so much more convenient that you can plug this in a normal power outlet and it gets the job done. ... show more
