This sprayer reminds me of the Sprayers we used in the Waterbed Mill I worked in when I was much younger. It's all metal construction and knurled adjustments make this seem like something that would be used in a professional or Commercial environment. The instructions are clear and all the connections are metal. I really like the Paint Reservoir lid. It has a pretty unique locking mechanism that I find to be a great piece of engineering. I just received this item, and right out of the box, I was impressed with the quality. All metal components, easy assembly of the the cup to the gun. It came with 1 1/4" connector for the air hose. A lot of tools don't even have that. I assembled it and poured the paint in and was ready to go

I want to start with the high points, this sprayer is sturdy and well made. It comes preassembled with the exception of the paint canister and quick release attachment. Being made in a metal construction, it feels rock solid, but it also makes it somewhat heavy and that's without any paint in the tank. Fatigue may be an issue for big projects. Having used an airbrush for models and minis, much of the same principles apply with this brush. There's a dial that controls how far the needle is allowed to move to give you more control over the amount of paint being sprayed. However, the extra two knobs, I'm not entirely sure of. There's one at the bottom of the grip behind the quick release, that is meant to regulate air flow, but the manual mentions in the diagram the second dial at the top of the brush is also an air regulator? Not sure why a brush would need two separate dials for this. This brings me to my point of concern. The "instruction" manual is really nothing more than a 4 page pamphlet that is only useful for the exploded diagram outlining the individual parts of the gun. It offers no explanation for the dials, what the recommended solvents to use to clean the brush are, or even a quick reference guide on basic maintenance for the brush. Air brushes are delicate precision tools that can give you incredible results, but without the proper care, you can easily damage or break certain parts. I find the lack of detailed information incredibly disappointing and it's hard to recommend this in spite of how well it's made because of it. If you're a professional who knows their way around a large brush like this, this is a good choice. ... show more
