It lubicates. I was concerned with greasy stains ending up on my clothes. But to my appreciation!!!!!! No stains. Pretty good product, I just had to continually re apply because I could always tell when it was time to apply. My tattoo would become very itchy. I didn’t have that problem with ADointment . My tattoo artist has this on hand so I bought a small container. She stressed a little goes a long way but I'm getting old and my skin is getting older so I probably used a little more than I needed. I have now bought additional containers twice because even after healing I like the way it makes my black tattoo look.
