I have seen this thing advertised for a couple years. I was always on the fence in purchasing because I thought it was too expensive. About 3 weeks ago, my husband was enjoying some mozzarella sticks and started choking. He got up from the table and I was able to pound on his back a few times to get it out. But, the thought in the back of my head was, what if I couldn't have gotten it out? Immediately after that happening, I got onto Amazon and ordered this product. It might seem expensive, but it's cheaper than losing someone you love. The product itself is well built and sturdy. I did the practice one on my leg to see how it worked and it was great. The suction was super strong and I believe that, if the need arises, I would be able to use this product to save a life of a loved one.     • Saved my grandson!
I bought one last year for my daughter who had just had my grandson. She carries it in her diaper bag. My grandson was in his car seat and had a febrile seizure. While at a light my daughter noticed his eyes fluttering and she jumped out of car and grabbed him. He was turning blue and unresponsive. A firefighter was in car behind them and ran up to help. He used the lifevac and provided blows to his back. It helped clear the secretions that clogged his airway from him sitting in his car seat while having a seizure. This will be the gift I will always give for a baby shower now. I have one for my house and car now. Customer service was wonderful when my daughter called after incident as they replace it for free.
