The product works well, no strong smell, the texture is like a face cream, very smooth, size is small, my scar is not very long so it worked well, not sure how it would work for a old scar.

    • Smelly, messy, but effective
I like this brand of scar cream and use both this and the night cream on a recent surgery scar. Both smell pretty awful, although the submarine sandwich with extra onions smelling night cream is by far the smelliest of the two. Thankfully, the day cream scent is much more tolerable and less off putting. The silicone does flake and make a mess. This is worse if the wound is scratched. It’s kind of a vicious cycle since the cream tends to make my scar itch like crazy. Also, if the silicone flakes fall onto a glass or reflective surface, they can cause quite a mess. Otherwise, the cream applies easily and my scar appears to be both fading and flattening. That’s awesome considering the long scar goes across nearly my entire neck. Im using this on my acne scars, some of them already started to fade a bit however the itchiness after i apply it is increasing every night. Last night i woke up from crazy itchiness. I had a bad scar on my lower leg from my cat. It was very dark for over a year and I just figured I would have to get laser treatment to get rid of it. I decided to try Mederma Advanced Scar Gel.
