I HAD BEEN STRUGGLING WITH THE 4FT STAND OVERHEAD DRYER THAT I BOUGHT HERE AND THE DESIGN OF THE ATTACHMENT AREA OF THE HOOD TO THE STAND WOULD CONSISTENTLY BREAK OVER TIME BECAUSE OF THE HEAVINESS OF THE HOOD AND THE SHALLOW LENGTH OF THE TUBE ATTACHING OVER THE STEM.... THEN WOW!!!! I TRIED THIS ONE AND WONDERED WHAT THE HECK I HAD BEEN DOING BEFORE?!! HALF THE PRICE AND TIP TOP DESIGN AND CONVENIENCE...MY WET SETS ARE AT AN ALL TIME HIGH BC I CAN DRY QUICKLY AND I HAVE PRETTY THICK HAIR... LOVE!!! ... show more

    • Nice, just not what I was hoping for
I've had my Gold N Hot hard hood dryer for like 15 years. It works fine, but I've been using it more often lately for deep conditioning and when I don't feel like diffusing, and thought maybe an upgrade would be good. This dryer is very nice. Sleeker design and seems "more powerful" if advertising is to be believed. I never tried it, because 1) while it is bigger than my other one, it's not as much as I expected, and 2) what is gained in size is lost in air circulation. My old one has air holes all along the hood; this one only has air holes on the top. So whatever air is getting to the sides of your head is indirect. This didn't make sense to me and seems like the hair on top of your head would be frying waiting for the sides and back to dry. Just didn't seem to make sense to swap out one that's been working fine for a design that might be less effective and possibly more damaging(?) I'll just stick with the one that ain't broke, so to speak. ... show more

The dryers appears and feels durable. I did have to youtube how to extend it. Instead I used my adjustable home office desk, worked like a charm. I Used the medium setting and the dryer reached warmth in a good time frame. I did not plug it in the wall, but a power cord instead. The cord nor the extension is warm/hot to touch. Great sign in my book as i am skeptical of purchasing items from Amazon that requires a lot of current/power. It is a loud dryer but a dryer nonetheless. Will update if need be. Oh watch out!, there’s a filler of cardboard within the box that smells like fish. Throw that piece out and continue your use-of the box for storage. Happy drying! ... show more

I love it! I've only been under here for 23 minutes on High and the top of my hair is dry. The sides are 80% dry - I'm going to check again at 30 minutes. I had to watch two YT videos to figure out how to adjust it. It's weird because where the neck meets the base looks like one piece of plastic melted together. I couldn't get it to raise when I stood on the right side of the base with my right hand on the base and raising it with my left hand. But when I crossed my arms and put my left hand on the base and pulled up with my right hand, it came right up. It was much easier the 2nd time I tried it. You have to put your weight on the base with your left hand and pull up. I hope that makes sense! Also, I have the dryer on a counter height island and I'm sitting on a 28 inch counter stool. I have about 2 inches left at the top of the dryer, which would work well if I had rods in. You may want to purchase an adjustable stool to use with the dryer if you need it shorter or taller. I'm 5'5". It's lightweight, despite what a YouTuber said, it doesn't feel cheap. It's plastic and that gives it its light weight. My only gripe is that another retailer that starts with a "W" has it in-store for $20 less and Amazon refused to price match. ... show more

Overall, the dryer is good but it does not adjust to the person height. I have to use a pillow on my seat to be able to dry my hair totally. The heat adjustment is great. Next time I would try something else. For now it’s ok.

I took a chance on buying this Kiss hooded hairdryer. It came in a box well secured. It was easy to follow instructions. Hair dryer heats well, a little loud but use to it . High setting is quite hot. I am pleased with this dryer.
