Ever since primitive humans have gazed up at the first majestic birds soring across the sky, their hearts have longed to take flight. What child or fun-loving adult would not delight in operating a remote-control (RC) plane as a way to fulfil this yearning? However, is this particular model a good buy… that decision is up to you, but here are some points to consider: 1. This RC plane requires some assembly that may need experienced adult supervision… wheels or wing fins not secured properly are easily and perhaps irrevocably lost. The plane controller needs the purchase of 3 AAA batteries and the remote-control plane’s battery charger doesn’t match the description on Amazon (having no cord, the battery needs to be removed from the plane for each charge). Besides, the USB charger needs a laptop computer USB port to charge—not every kid has a computer at the ready. Certainly, no young child would be able to fly or land this plane without some adult instruction. 2. The instruction manual is written in atrocious substandard English and fails to point out important operating instructions such as ensuring that the plane be operated with one black and one white propeller only on the correct sides of the aircraft… be sure to look for the ‘L’ and ‘R’ letters on the wings and the propellers otherwise the plane with just crash after takeoff! 3. $60+ dollars seems a steep price for a Styrofoam body design that was not built to last, to withstand sharp indoor or outdoor edges, or to resist any significant wind speed or turbulence. 4. On a positive note… assembled properly the plane does fly, the remote control works within sight of the plane, and the RC plane can take off from the ground or when thrown into the air. Summing up, if you or a loved one want to have some quick fun with a product that may or may not survive your crash course on ‘RC pilot training,’ then go for it; personally, I had a few minutes of real fun once I worked through the kinks on my own and until the plane malfunctioned and needed to be replaced—three stars for that 😊. ... show more

My grandson is almost 13, He wanted this jet plane remote control, so I got it for him. I couldn't believe how high it flies, and when it died in the air, it just kind of floated down and landed. The only negative: One of the wheels fell off already. It wasn't a hard landing either.

My son was SO excited for this it was a gift. I did the first flight to see how hard it would be. It took off into the air about 15 feet and then flipped around into a dead spin straight to the ground and was trash before my son ever got to play with it.
