I purchased the RainPoint Wi-Fi Sprinkler the other day for my backyard. It comes with the sprinkler and a Wi-Fi hub. It was so easy to set up and worked great! The app is super easy to use. It has the weather for the week listed at the top and indicates the days that you have watered. It can be set for auto watering, has rain delay, an irrigation history to keep track of all activity, and you can even click to start the watering process whenever you want for any amount of time from your phone in addition to the watering times you have already scheduled. If you are at the unit, there is a quick button on the unit for those times you want to quickly give a little extra watering. So convenient! Loved it so much that 2 days later, I decided to purchase a second Rainpoint Sprinkler (no Wi-Fi) for my front yard! It hooked up to the Wi-Fi that came with my first purchase in minutes! You can add several more sprinklers to the original WIFI if you purchase that version so you do not need to keep purchasing the Sprinkler/Wi-Fi combo which can save a few dollars! I will be purchasing one more soon as I actually have 2 large areas I like to water separately in the front yard. I have 2 Mr. Landscaper timers that work fine but I really wanted to be able to set the system from anywhere. This way, when I travel, I can adjust my watering needs and review the irrigation history for each one to be sure that the system is working perfectly, and my plants are happy. It shows date/time of day and run time for each session. In addition to the great product at a very reasonable price, it comes with a 5-year warranty!     • Excellent drip irrigation timer
I have used this for more than a month and it seems to work very well. I have this connected to a 1/2" drip irrigation line watering around 30 fruit trees and various other plants. The app works well on IOS and I have had no connection issues. It is definitely worth paying a bit more for a smart timer like this, than a regular timer, since you get access to the runtime history and access it remotely, not to mention a much more user-friendly scheduling interface. ... show more

    • Simple to Use - but the app needs work.
Simple programming works well - assuming the conditions are right. The link to the hub was easy to establish, even through walls. I have the hub inside, and the timer is obviously outside connected to the hose bib. Easy to manually start/stop. Easy enough to create programs, but you need to make sure these programs are established through the hub interface, and not on the device itself. What is frustrating is the lack of programming options. It doesn't allow a "Not Raining" scenario. The "Hazy" setting can be completely objective, and not sure why I would use that for programming the irrigation. The weather conditions do not work properly in the app. It will still run if its raining, even if told not to. Either way - it works well enough, but the app needs some help. ... show more

    • What a time saver!
Not only has this product helped me save time by automatically turning on my irrigation every day, it’s well made and easy to use. I bought this one specifically because it can also be set to water multiple times a day. It hooked up easily and does not leak. This was also very affordable!

I bought 1 and it leaked, so I ordered a replacement and that one also leaked from the same place. It leaks where the input is permanently attached to the unit, not from where the hose attaches to the input so there's no way to tighten it further or correct the issue with teflon tape. I purchased a timer with plastic fittings and it sheared off, this is built mor solidly. Easy setup and easy to program through the app on your phone. Connection drops when I am too far away, but the timer keeps working

    • Easy to use timer, great support
These timers are very easy to setup and the app is easy to use when setting schedules. They’ve been helpful to keep the garden and new grass watered properly while away from home. It was easy to modify schedules as needed and avoid watering during rain with the rain delay option. Connectivity was no issue with the first timer but I had issues with the second timer. Rainpoint’s email service was very helpful and timely in getting the issue resolved. After running through some tests and information I was sent a replacement timer within days of exchanging emails.
