I have a living room that faces the road as well as my neighbor’s house and it felt like a cave because my curtains are always drawn. I don’t m want my neighbors to see me in my boxers on my couch so I rarely opened the curtains. These window clings were a nice solution to let in the light and still allow me to be a naked couch potato. Easy installation for the most part. Make sure you have sharp boxcutters or use scissors for a clean cut. Cut it slightly oversized (by maybe a half inch on each side). Clean the window with Windex first. Then spray the window liberally with water. Pull the entire plastic backing off the window cling and then place the cling on the window. Smooth out the bubbles with a credit card or a ruler, and trim off the excess. Now here’s the trick to get the edges flat without curling up (because it comes rolled up, the cling can curl up or bubble on the edges). Use a hair dryer on the hottest setting and blow the edges flat (pressing it down as you go along). This will ensure the edges lay flat on the window. The cling is textured on one side, so it doesn’t feel or look cheap. Gives a nice diamond reflective look to the windows. I’m still torn between it looking pretty cool, and also a little tacky. It works though! Allows a great amount of shimmering light into my living room, gives me my privacy, and allows me to keep my windows unblocked. The only thing is that it IS see-thru if you get very close to it and look through the diamond patterns (see photos). But you need to be right up against the window for this, and if someone is that close - you probably should call the cops by that point, because you will definitely notice them. It was really hard getting the backing off this particular one. I tried the tape method that worked on the mirror tint I had bought for my door but it wouldn’t separate it like it did for that one. I used my Cricut tool to get it separated. Other than that it was super easy to install. Just sprayed water and squeezed out the bubbles. I get my natural light I love in my room with the privacy I need. My backyard has 3 neighbors who can see over my fence and 2 have cameras facing my yard so it was a must. I covered 1 whole window and 2 bottom halves with the 119 inch length one (a hundred something. Can’t remember exact length) I messed up on 1 and was able to remove it and restick it with ease. ... show more

The film was easy to put up, although I had a friend assist. I didn't realize the measurements presume installation on 2 double sash windows, rather than on my 24 x 36 window. So I needed to cut and joint two pieces in a seam. The pattern is busy enough so it's hard to see that seem. One side didn't adhere well near the top, but I taped it down and it's OK. I really like this window film. This pattern is very pretty, and unless you're scrutinizing it up close it looks like it could be the actual glass that's patterned. Takes a bit of finesse to install, but it stays up for years without peeling. This pattern looks particularly nice on doors with small window panes. It diffuses light nicely and doesn't darken the room at all. I would probably not rely on it for privacy on a bathroom window, but it's a good level of privacy for anywhere else. ... show more

This eliminates a lot of light! More than I wanted. Extremely difficult to put on. Has more adhesive than other films, making it very sticky and difficult to work with. The adhesive residue remains on the window when you attempt to straighten out the film. The peel off part is hard to separate. If you want something easy, this will not be easy. If you’re not patient, you’re going to get mad trying to get this on. Another con is that at night you will no longer be able to see outside. Works perfect. Would purchase again. SUPER easy to apply, remove, reapply, cut etc. It gives perfect amount of privacy and allows us to get sunlight and kind of still see outside, its Distorted, but can still tell if someone passes by. Super happy customer.

It is easy to cut and install, just make sure your measurements are correct… and if you change your mind later down the road it is super easy to peel off.
