My significant other and I both really like the Harmony tall pillows. They are supportive and maintain a comfortable body temperature—not too hot or cold. We also use silk pillowcases, and we love the soft, smooth feel they add to the pillows. We tried the Harmony medium pillow but found it too soft with insufficient support. The tall pillow is also soft but offers the support we need for a better night's sleep. The Purple website provides suggestions and pictures to help choose the right pillow height. However, we’ve found that their recommendations are not always accurate. According to their website, the medium should suit my SO well, but we found the tall pillow to be a better fit. These pillows are the most expensive we’ve ever purchased, but they truly feel like we’re sleeping on a cloud and alleviated a neck and back problem. ... show more

Style: Standard – Tall
I have the worst time finding a good pillow. I'm a side sleeper, I have old neck pains that come back frequently, and I always struggle to find the balance between supportive but soft. After trying this out for a couple of weeks, it hits the mark for me. At first, I thought it might be too soft, even though I got the tall version. (For the record, I am only 5'8", but I am heavy with wide shoulders). But the texture of it is so bouncy that it does a good job of being soft but still supportive. I sink into it, which I love, but the latex is springy and "fills in the gaps". As for the cooling claims, I do not find it to be super cooling, but it also is not too hot. It's cool when you first lie on it but it does heat up after a while. I will probably try a more cooling pillowcase than the one I currently use and see if that prolongs the cool effect. Overall, I've been sleeping well on it. I do not have to adjust it in the middle of the night since it bounces back and does not bunch up or get lumpy. I will report back if that changes over time, but for now, I think it was worth the high price. ... show more

The most I had ever previously spent on a pillow was $50 (which I thought was a lot), & finding pillows that were firm & supportive enough was difficult at best. My previous favorite had to be replaced every 6 months, & then they changed their design. It no longer met my needs. I was on the hunt again... Two years ago, I found the tall Harmony Purple Pillow. I hesitated because of the price. (I was poor most of my life, so I was thinking, "What kind of caviar & yacht pillow is this?!? Nah.") But then I read one reviewer's comment that pointed out that, even if the pillow only lasted a year, that equated to something like $16/month for quality sleep. With all my arthritis & what not, that was a solid point. I skeptically bought one & kept telling myself "$16 a month...$16 a month...." Yo. I am NEVER going back. This pillow has alleviated so much neck, back, & shoulder pain while I sleep! Then we bought my husband one....same outcome. Then my best friend (whose had neck surgery) bought one. Then we all bought travel versions since we can't live without them now. Then our adult kids asked for their own for Christmas. While changing our sheets today, we were commenting that the pillows have held up well & looked back in our Amazon orders & saw that we bought ours 2 years ago...2 years & zero signs of losing support or structure! So now, we're at a $8.72/month investment....worth every. single. cent. Downsides? Hmm.....I can only think of 2. First, I routinely wake up with the waffle weave pattern embossed on my cheek, but I'm come to associate that with a good night of sleep. If you're sensitive about what gets embossed on your face, this might be a deterrent for you. Second, no other pillow meets our needs anymore. Traveling became miserable, & we found ourselves buying stacks of cheap pillows & abandoning them at hotels & house rentals.     • Amazing but didn’t help my migraines
I’m 64. When you’ve had migraines for more than 2/3 of your life, you will try anything. This is a wonderful, high-end pillow. It’s cool and soft and doesn’t need refluffing after a few hours. I probably should’ve ordered the flatter one because I sleep on both sides and my back. It’s a little tall when I sleep on my back. I was hoping that it would help my nightly migraines, but it hasn’t. What to do with a $200 pillow? ... show more

    • Most comfortable pillow!

It’s to the point that my husband makes fun of all the pillows I have tried. I have neck and back problems and I can never find a pillow that is comfortable long term. I have tried multiple brands of memory foam, shredded foam, feather, down filled, fiberfill, latex, and buckwheat filled. I have spent SO much money on pillows. Well over $1000 in pillows over the course of several years. Before this, the most comfortable thing I could find was a very squooshy down pillow with a latex pillow on top. This Purple harmony pillow took the springiness that I like about latex with the softness of the down. The price is cringey, unfortunately, but if this pillow holds up long term it will be worth every penny. I was able to replace my stacked down/latex pair with this one pillow. It is VERY comfortable, soft, and supportive for side sleeping (tall size). It is really hard to impress me with a pillow, but this one impressed me. I even bought one for my husband who was eyeing mine, and he says he likes it because it stays cool all night. We bought the standards, but we may eventually upgrade to King size because they really are that nice—hoping this can be my forever-pillow. Lastly, the company stands behind its products. I had an issue with mine a few weeks after I bought it, and the company was very prompt with communication and made the problem right immediately. If I didn’t already have a super expensive mattress that I love, I would definitely look into purple mattresses. PS: No it does not leave hexagons on my face. Seriously—buy this pillow. ... show more
