I can no longer sleep 6 hours consecutively due to being awakened by outer ear pain. Sometimes, I awaken after only an hour of sleep. I've spent probably several thousand dollars on so many different types of pillows that promise freedom from ear pain, softness, neck support, etc. When I saw this pillow, I had real hope that my outer ears wouldn't get painful. The first time that I lay my head down, my ear in the hole, I knew that this would solve my problems! I've had it for several weeks now and I sleep 6 - 8 hours consecutively; I feel less fatigue as a result. You can turn the pillow over if you don't want to use the side with ear holes. It is memory foam, and it's not hard like so many of the pillows that I've had. It is small, but it supports my head and neck well. It has a pillow cover that can be removed and washed. For me, the softness of the memory foam is perfect. It doesn't hurt my neck at all. I am a side sleeper. During the few times that I lay on my back for a quick nap, I used the non-hole side. I’ve finally found my pillow!! My ear cartilage tends to get sore when I lay on my side, but I snore when I’m on my back. Also since the Covid lockdown started 11 weeks ago, I’ve been staring at screens a lot more and my neck has been hurting. It’s been impossible to get comfortable. I ordered one memory foam ear hole pillow from a different company but returned it after a week - it wasn’t soft and it felt flat. The ear hole In this one works great for preventing my ear pain and I’m not constantly flipping sides back and forth anymore. The shredded memory foam is sooo much softer than traditional memory foam - because you can fluff it. Initially the pillow felt too firm, but it’s because they purposefully overfill, and leave it for you to customize to your liking. I ended up removing about 3 gallon ziplock bags full of filling and then separated the remaining foam inside the pillow to fluff it up. The difference was incredible. No more neck pain either!! This morning I woke up feeling better than I have in 3 months!! Also, Pure Comfort contacted me through amazon to check on my satisfaction and to see if I had any questions or needed any help with the product, also to tell me they were sending me an extra pillowcase (which has an ear hole in it) - just because they want to take care of their customers. PRO TIP - WATCH THE VIDEO!! I almost didn’t because removing some foam from the pillow seems like pretty common sense stuff that you shouldn’t need a video for, but they’ve actually got some really great tips for how to customize the pillow to your needs. ... show more

    • An Excellent Choice for My Needs

I have a difficult sleeping problem where just laying my head down in the normal sleep position causes me pain in my neck, jaw, and cheek area. Thus when I have awakened, for many decades, I've had major pain and have had to go through a regimented neck and facial stretching therapy program to at least partially alleviate that pain. I have what is commonly known as TMJ syndrome. This pillow has been an excellent solution for having a comfortable way of laying down my head at night with much less pain and with only minor adjustments to the pillow nightly since the facial structure is in constant change. This can be done easily with the suggestions shown on the product's information video with only one minor adjustment to the method. I have found that the pressure of the pillow can be adjusted very easily by opening the hand and poking the pillow with the fingertips at the point where it contacts the sensitive (painful) part of my face. It took me about a month to get used to using this pillow. But for me, it works great. I would have given it a five-star rating but came with only one outer pillowcase. It is white and stains easily. It would be better for the package to include at least two pillowcases with possible color choices. Perhaps this could be done with a purchase voucher. Also, the hole created for ear comfort in the pillow would be better located lower since most people cannot comfortably place their ears in the hole. Yes.     • Can't replace the cover and filling doesn't evenly distribute

I got this pillow because of new ear piercings. It's really comfortable but my problem is that the zip cover that comes with it easily breaks and you can't replace it. I reached out to the manufacturer and they offered to send me a satin pillow case but the removable cover is what I really need so that I can wash it since I sweat often. Otherwise the pillow will stink and turn brown. The other issue is that the hole is slightly off center (which it should be since that is where your ear would land). The issue is the filling in that part always migrates to the other unused parts of the pillow and ends up being flat giving no neck support. That part of the pillow needs to be pocketed or something so that the filling doesn't migrate to other parts of the pillow. ... show more
