    • Great but food escapes sometimes
This basket is great and the detachable handle is a fantastic add-on. It does discolor very quickly, which is typical of stainless steel and does not impact performance. We use it all the time for our vegetables on the grill. It’s not the easiest to clean, but only because of the little holes everywhere. The sponge gets caught on them and it usually takes two washes to get the stickiness from oil off. It’s not a concern for us, personally, and is not unusual for something like this. Our only complaint is the larger holes for the handle allow vegetables to escape fairly easily from the basket. We’ve lost potatoes, peppers, broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower, and summer squashes through the gaps and into the fiery abyss. We tried blocking them with some foil, but that just created more frustration. Not a dealbreaker, just something to be known. We are still very pleased with this item and would buy again. ... show more

    • Versatile Grill Basket
I used this in my oven for the first time because I’m more of a fair to moderate weather griller and currently the weather is not cooperating. I washed it with warm soapy water, dried it and inspected it for rough unfinished edges. Fortunately, there were none. The basket is sturdy and has some weight to it. The description says 2.86 lbs., which seems about right. I was interested in this basket because of the removable dividers. The basket comes with two dividers that have small cutout hooks on the ends. The hooks fit into the slots located on the sides of the basket. There are 10 slots which makes it possible to place the dividers in five different positions. The dividers are easy to insert and remove. For easy removal when placing them at the end of the basket, make sure the side with the indentation faces the inside of the basket. The dividers are not flimsy. Four of the slots are at the end of the basket, two on each side. The other six, three on each side, are spread out equally in the middle of basket. When the whole surface area of the basket is needed, the dividers are placed at the end. To create different size cooking areas, the dividers are arranged in the middle slots to create the desired space. The description says the cooking surface is 9" x 12". I'm not sure what was measured to get 9". I measured the flat surface of the basket from the outside and it is 7.25" x 12". I used one divider in the middle and one at the end so I could have a large section for two seafood stuffed salmon steaks from Costco, and a smaller section for asparagus spears. I sprayed the basket with olive oil and wiped up the excess before I put the food in. Since I was using it in the oven, I placed it on a rack and set it on a sheet pan. The meal was delicious, and the pan cleaned up easily. I lost a tiny bit of the stuffing in the salmon when I removed it because of the holes in the basket. I didn't use the handle, but it is sturdy and padded on the end which is nice when squeezing it together to place in one of the four positions on the basket. It's not intended for use on the grill or in the oven while cooking. I thought it was a bit pricey, but I looked up the cost of similar but smaller baskets that I have purchased, and those were about half the cost of this one. Overall, my impression of the basket is favorable, and I look forward to using it on the grill when the weather breaks. ... show more

    • This versatile grill basket is awesome!
I have an old as heck anodized aluminum grill pit, in which the grill grate that it came with has long since rusted out- it's more than 50 years old, lol. Taking a look at this grill basket's dimensions, I knew it would fit that ancient (but still perfectly good) tank of a grill pit. This basket turned longways sits just right across the pit's width, and I can close the pit lid over it if desired. It sits just low enough to let the heat reach the food without getting too close to the coals, and it's simple to get the handle on or off as needed. This sturdy grill basket is made of thick, strong steel that easily stands up to my outdoor cooking. I love that the removable handle can be placed easily on any side of this basket, it stays securely in the holders, the handle is easy to grip, and how the dividers are easily placed into the slots for food separation. The same night that I got this, I fired up my pit and cooked four burgers with grilled onions on the side, and this basket performed beautifully! After a quick wash I greased it with oil, placed it over the coals, and added the food. The burgers didn't stick, they got a wonderful smoky flavor, and cooked to perfection. The onions were soft, tender and flavorful, with a perfect carmelization on the edges. This grill basket is easy to clean, and the removable parts store in a drawer perfectly. It's nicely portable for outings, and stows away well in a cabinet. I'm in love with this grill basket, and will happily be using it in my grandaddy of pits from here on out! I got a beautiful shiny new barbecue for Christmas. With my last BBQ I had a rack that I could put things like asparagus but it still meant that some fell off and ended up in the bottom. With this basket I can put all the veggies together or do several different, separate veggies at once. I also really appreciate that I can use the removable handle on all 4 sides. It takes a bit of strength to get it squeezed tight enough to fit into the holes but once it's in it holds very well. It's too cold here to use the barbecue just yet but as soon as I give it its trial run I will add some photos. At this point I would definitely purchase again. I'm tempted to get a second one so I can do even more at once. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Stainless steel with movable dividers and the handle can be easily placed on any side. The holes are large enough to allow some flames to get the grilled taste. The handle is easy to move and stays secure. I’m very pleased with how functional this is. The stainless steel is strong and not flimsy.
