So I wish I had read the other bad reviews before purchasing. But I thought, what the heck, it's MasterBuilt, it's gotta be good right? Worst design ever. The inside of the sleeve starts to heat up and then stops the spit from rotating. How do I know this???? Because my wife youtubed the issue and wouldn't you know it, there are several people out there experiencing the same thing. Don't believe me? Go look it up on youtube. You would think MasterBuilt would test out their own products on an actual grill with actual meat on the rotisserie before making it a product and selling it. Unfortunately from the looks of it, their customer service is about as good as this rotisserie unit. Don't buy this one, unless you like throwing your money away. You have been warned. ... show more

Works great for one chicken positioned to the left of center (away from heat manifold opening) but trying it with two birds it sometimes gets stuck in rotation - even with 12lbs of weight on it between the two birds. Also, having two birds on this at once will not produce an even cook - the right bird will be done first due to its closer proximity to the heat source. One other small improvement I'd like to see is the hanger you install on the right side if it could be designed to stay on and still support the upper grill grates when rotisserie is not in use. ... show more

I installed the rotisserie and wasn't ready to use it. The day I wanted to make a rotisserie prime rib, I learned the motor failed. It spins halfway, stops, then spins the other way halfway and repeats the process. Test your motor before use. Another disappointing thing is that I just want a replacement and the only option it gives me is to return it or contact the manufacturer. I'm still in my return window and I have contacted masterbuilt. I hope they replace the motor. ... show more
