Color: Grey
This was probably the easiest chair to put together ever. It even came with a QR code to a video on how to put it together as well as an instruction booklet. It is really comfortable and looks very nice. 10/10 would recommend. The build quality is worth the price. Every thing functions really well and the wheels roll amazing. ... show more

  • Very comfortable chair
Color: Black
I've never been a fan of these mesh chairs - the back lumbar support doesn't seem to make my back very happy. But I thought I try this one out. I'm glad I did. This is a nice chair! I've put together several chairs from Amazon, and this is the nicest one yet. The "30% thicker Saddle shaped spring cushion" Is comfortable, supportive, and I'm really liking it. I put together the ProtoArc chair mostly by myself. Inside the box is a large sheet of cardboard (see photo) with a QR code that you scan for the video (very helpful video). After pulling out the cardboard, I pulled out all the parts (see other photo). There's also a manual inside, and a card with all the needed screws and screwdriver (hex). From the time of opening the box until I was done was 58 minutes. I will admit I spent a little time in headscratching, and looking at the video and the manual, but it was mostly a nice simple process. The fit and finish of this chair is nice! It sits really solidly on its gas piston and base - not rattling around or feeling cheap. As I was putting the screws in, I was impressed how they were so easy to start, and no problems with crossthreading. In the entire process, here's the challenges I had: 1) I don't really have the wrist strength to get the wheels installed in the base - my business partner had to help with that 2) I couldn't really tell what the directions were telling me to do for the front of the chair - and figuring out which side the arms went on (NOTE: the arrow on the bottom of the chair is pointing to the front of the chair, and on the bottom of the arms are an "L" and "R" embossed in the black plastic - once you figure that out, it's easy-peasy) 3) the only screw that was difficult to put in was one side of the lumbar support - it took a bit of angling the screw and driver, but it finally went in. The arms aren't soft - not a lot of give. But that seems to be a personal preference, and I'll just pick up arm covers - so not a problem. Now obviously, this is not a $1400 office chair - and it doesn't feel like one. But for the price - it's a really nice chair ... show more

  • Fantastic. Comfortable, quality chair at a fair price
Color: Grey
You can tell they really care about getting things right with this from the moment you open the package. They have some good instructions with silly notes as if the chair itself is happy to be here. Everything is well packaged to keep from shifting around and utilizes the space in the box really well. Assembly was easy enough and went smoothly. For the price, this thing definitely punches above it's class imo and it's easy to recommend. The looks and comfort of this thing are a huge improvement over my old office chair. I think the black and grey look great together. The back support is nice, the bottom is a deep soft cushion, and the headrest while simple, does the job. I think I prefer this style of cushion over my other chair, which has the net style for the back and seat, which kept cooler, but also made it uncomfortable to sit with one leg underneath me, which I like to do sometimes for some reason. This chair however is comfortable no matter where I put my legs. It's very comfortable but doesn't have a ton of adjustability like some more expensive chairs. The arm rests here for example simply go up and down, no forward movement. I believe you can adjust the width somewhat, but it's part of the assembly, not something you can easily do later and play around with. I do like how flat they are, not especially squishy, but they're a nice size for support and don't make your arms feel like they'll slide off or anything. The headrest as well is fairly basic, it can go up or down and snap to a couple places for tilt, but it's not possible to adjust it in small increments to get it just right so for me there's pretty much only one position that works. It can lean back a decent amount and still feel stable, but not a full reclining position. The metal base feels extremely solid, and the wheels are your basic cheap plastic like most office chairs, but they work. ... show more
