I like a dark room at night and this clock allows you to turn off the display completely of course the trade off is you can no longer read the time on the display it’s completely black. It also has a low,medium,and high display and projector mode that are adjustable and they work independently of each other. The low display setting will work fine for most people but it was too bright for me. My previous clock allowed you to have the display on but with no back light. If this clock could do that I would have given it 5 stars. However this is a great basic clock. It doesn’t have a DST feature or show the temperature or humidity but I don’t really need those functions. I wanted a clock that could project the time on my ceiling and this clock does that well. It projects nice big numbers and I like the ability to have the projection on low,medium,high,or completely off. Again I like a dark room although I didn’t like the low display setting the low projection setting is perfect. The projection mode is very good it’s very adjustable and if you long press the projection button for 3 seconds you can rotate the nubmbers so they are always right side up. Another big plus is if you read the instructions it is very easy to set up. I’m technology challenged and it was easy. If you don’t mind a little light it has a nice big easy to read display that will probably be fine for most people. It is a light weight clock but it looks nice I like the curved design. It does have an alarm with a progressive alarm volume and a snooze button that also sets up the display brightness. It has a USB charge port which is convenient but the directions say it charges slowly which can actually be a pulse for battery health. It has a back up button battery that uses an easy to find 2032 button battery. The battery doesn’t work the display it just saves your settings. The description says wood grain but it is actually a gloss black that I like better. So if you are looking for an easy to set basic clock this will be a good projection clock for you. ... show more

To be fair, I've only had this unit for a week. I am very pleased with several features. First and foremost is that the time projection is very clear and sharp. There are three settings to satisfy your needs and the brightest setting will illuminate the time, even in a partially lit room. Beware that there is a function to adjust the orientation of the projected time. Out of the box the time was illuminated upside-down and backwards but after proper adjustment (explained in the directions) everything is fine. The time shown on the clock face is equally clear and sharp and also has three brightness levels. I find the appearance of the unit to be sleek and attractive, featuring a curved face and slim design. The build seems of quality but my only mild concern is the light weight of the device. The unit is easily displaced with only a light touch and the reason this would be any concern at all is the fact that the illuminated time on the ceiling or wall also moves with any displacement. There may be a specific spot you would prefer the time to be illuminated and that's where this comes into play. Like I said, only a small concern and I think adding rubber contact points to the bottom of the unit would help with this. I’ve bought a couple of these clocks because the options for having the time on the ceiling is great. It has a ton of display options. It’s an average size clock. What’s nice is you can turn of the main red light display. Also you can choose the levels of brightness. The color is spot on. I’ve never had issue with the accuracy or quality. My ancient alarm clock finally bit the dust and I have been searching for a replacement. I like the design of the clock. It is sleek, lightweight and easy to read. The display on the ceiling is something I definitely appreciate. I have found that the alarm isn't loud enough for me, or perhaps it isn't obnoxious enough. Regardless - I sleep right through it, and would have been late all week if I didn't have obnoxious alarms set up on my phone. I'm generally a light sleeper, but also end up with insomnia on a regular basis, so when I finally do get into a deep enough sleep - the alarm doesn't register to me. I also missed having the ability to set up two different alarms. If you are someone who doesn't require a freight train of an alarm most days - this may be great for you.
