I am confused by a lot of the negative reviews for this clock. Out of all people I know, I'm the least likely to suck up to a Chinese manufacturer but I need to give credit where its due. Let's start off by addressing some myths: - You cannot dim the light down False. There is literally a button that you keep pressing to alternate between brightness options. The clock has a "Dimmer" button that will show LO1 LO2 LO3 LO4 LO5 on the screen and will adjust the brightness. -The projector is inverted/backwards False. Again, there's a button on the clock that lets you switch the direction of the projector screen which is extremely convenient. Since you can flip the screen away from you if the clock brightness bothers you while simultaneously having the projector on your ceiling or wall thats readable. I have no idea why many people claim this is an issue. -The alarm doesn't wake me up This depends on the person but I will say that I am a heavy sleeper. I use to sleep through 10+ alarms on my phone in a single day, my body would get used to and sleep through all of them. This alarm definitely wakes me up, but my issue is that my brain (as usual) adapted into getting up and shutting off the alarm while I'm asleep. So that's on me, not the clock. I recommend placing the alarm somewhere further away, and putting the vibrating device on a surface to where it will not fall off and break. Trust me, the rumbling sound of having a table getting hit is annoying. -You cannot change the alarm once it is set False. This may be a defect on some people's clocks although I highly recommend reading the instruction manual. You can turn off a set alarm by holding the Alarm button for a few seconds. If you click the alarm button like nomal, the screen will flash indicating you can set a time - so you then go to the hour and minute button to set whatever time you want, click the alarm button once again to exit and see the normal time. You should see a new alarm symbol to the left of the screen indicating you set the time. It's possible many of these reviews are defective products, but I also believe many are from people not reading how to use the device. I've done this before and is embarrassing when I go complain on a review when I realize I didn't ever read the instructions. My only critcism of this clock is that the projector on the brightest LO3 LO4 LO5 settings shows a blue circle around it which gets rid of the illusion of only the numbers being projected but we still do not have holograms so I'll take this over anything else until that technology gets invented. ... show more

I don’t sleep the whole night. Basically a series of naps. When I do wake I want to know what time it is. This clock does what I need. I point mine to our 10 foot ceiling almost directly above the bed. Numbers look like they’re 8-10” tall. You can set the brightness which is nice. The clock itself sits towards the back of the nightstand and kinda close to my side. The illumination is certainly viewable but not too bright so as to not disturb me. I really like the USB cable power port so I can charge my phone and use a shorter cord. I’m pleased ... show more

It has 5 brightness levels within the display. The projection is big enough and bright enough in dark room. Obviously projection will not work 8n bright room. It has only been 2 days but so far looks okay. If it really will last long then I will change it to 5 star.

my wife wanted a "night time watch" so she could tell time in bed while her "smart watch" was charging (a watch that needs frequent charging doesn't sound smart to me. my watch is self winding, never comes off my wrist. all it does is tell time. doesn't tell me the tides in canada or make me a frapachino- just the time. now that's smart!) i thought remembering to put the other watch on every night would be a pain so i looked at these clocks. love it! easy set up. adjustable brightness on clock and projected image. you can flip the time one way of the other on the projection plus point it where you want. we like it dark and I was affraid the image on the ceiling would be too bright but its just right. for the price you can't beat this. what a smart idea! ... show more

We bought the model with blue display because it is less distracting in a dark bedroom. The clock is easy to see with nice big numbers and the ceiling projected clock can be adjusted several ways to our liking. The only issue I have with the clock is that setting it up and changing brightness, etc don’t feel intuitive to me. The instructions explain everything but sheesh, I lose these small one page instruction sheets 100% of the time. This is my issue, not the clock. I really wanted to like this alarm clock even though it was not the same as my old one. I am very hard of hearing and the vibrating part wakes me up good. The problem I have with it is that there is not a button by itself, away from the other buttons, in which I remember to push to turn off the alarm. I'm so sleepy when I wake that I forget which one to turn off and end up messing up the clock by pushing the wrong buttons. The brightness is good and I like that you can see the numbers on the ceiling good but the above mentioned really makes me not like the clock. Sorry, but that's the truth. ... show more
