The bristles feel stiff, but I had no issues at all with tangling and it worked as promised - sleek and smooth. That's no small feat with my hair, which borders on curly and is very fine. It's easy to hold onto, and the 1.7" diameter is a great size for a nape-of-neck length. I stopped using a hairbrush to blow out when I purchased a Revlon One Step Volumizer Hair Dryer and Styler which, btw, is awesome. I needed a smaller barrel hairbrush for a recent haircut. I make sure that the hairbrushes aren’t designed where my hair can get wrapped up and caught in the handle. This brush does not do that. It does a great job drying my hair and doesn’t pull my hair out. Highly recommended!
