I think my expectations were unrealistic, as I have never used one of these before. After using it a time or two and being disappointed, I did some research on this technology in general, YouTube demos/reviews, examining other designs from Braun for example, etc. Once I had a more realistic set of expectations for laser hair removal in general, I would rate this unit four stars. So laser hair removal requires what amounts to regimented process over a multi month span. Shave, Laser, Shave, Laser, gradually repeat less frequently. Then the hairs grow back much less course and dense and eventually it's like a once a month thing... This thing does that, as well as my research implies I should expect it to. The app works well, it comes with laser glasses, it has lots of flexibility for skin tone, hair color, density, etc. So why did I dock a star? Mostly since it lacks a feature I found that Bruan has, that would make this a million times less annoying to use. So when you use this one, you have to systematically give off a single flash. Like, painting a wall with a sponge you have dip in paint between each dab... The Bruan model I wish I had, lets you continuously laser, and swipe, like a paint roller would. The usability would be night and day. This unit works, but it is a bear to use honestly. Most are this way it seems. If you are in the market and want to make an arduous process less disdainful, maybe get one that lets you do continuous paths. ... show more

I've had this for a few months and have been using it semi frequently. I noticed after the first few uses on my legs that the hair started growing back thiner. The design is comfortable enough to hold, although the button and screen placement could have been thought through a little bit more. It gets suorsingly cold. Like to the point putting it on the skin feels like a ice cube. The size is good for covering an area efficiently, but if it were slightly smaller it would be easier to hold. It's really good quality. The plastic is solid, the glass screen is blemish free and crystal clear. The bulbs are really bright. Definitely make sure to use the glasses and do it in a room no one else is in. If it catches under the glasses or if you're around someone using it, that light will flash super bright from the side of the machine and blind you. I'm still testing this product out but as from what i can tell it seems to be effective and the speed at which is works is phenomenal, i cant say much on the pain because i have a very high pain tolerance so i think its about a slight hot pinch? other than that the design is very comfortable to hold and the use is easy, i would recommend this product. ... show more
