I was on the fence about this purchase for a couple years. With purchased reviews messing up ratings all over Amazon, I was skeptical. Would this work? Really? For the price, I'd be very upset if it didn't. Anyhoo, after lots of research and waffling, I went for it. At first, it's kind of a pain because you have to use it so frequently, but it eases up pretty quickly. The worst part for me was having to shave before use because I have SUPER SENSITIVE skin. When having to use it several times a week, I was having to shave every other day which is pretty painful for me.... hence wanting a better hair removal solution. After the first few weeks, I was able to use it once a week. I immediately noticed that my hair growth had slowed a good bit. At this point, I only have to shave like once every 10ish days! And I'd be lying if I said I was using this religiously.... I have young kids, my husband works nights so I'm flying solo with them in the evenings and I work 45-60 hrs/wk at a physically taxing job, so I have very little "me time" and what I do have of that I enjoy spacing out on a video game or crocheting. Even so! I am having great results! (Very light skin with light brown hair) The device itself is larger/bulkier than I expected, but I've never used/seen one of these up close so I have no means of comparison. The buttons work well... though I do recommend using the "glide" function... the main button is fairly click-y and I could see it getting stuck or popping off with extended use. The "sapphire ice"( or whatever it's called) works like a dream! The only time I feel anything is in ultra sensitive areas featuring coarser and darker hair. The literal only thing I wish was different is that the light shines through the air vents and the seams around the device. I wish this was shielded better. Again, I have super sensitive skin, and if I slap some moisturizer on my skin when I'm done, there is no pain and no irritation. Truly, I love this product and highly recommend it. When I first got my Ulike Laser Hair Removal Device, I was a bit nervous, but excited to give it a try. As soon as I opened the box, I could tell this was a well-made device. Setting it up took a bit of time, but the instructions were super clear and easy to follow. Once I got the hang of it, using it became a breeze (pun intended). I've tried professional hair removal treatments before, so I was curious to see how this would compare. After just a few uses, I started seeing less hair growth and smoother skin. It was a huge relief to find that the process was virtually pain-free – just a slight cool touch which is nothing compared to waxing! Update! They have provided me a complimentary unit! Yes! A complimentary unit due to all of my troubles! Now how is that for customer service! I have been using it for about a week, and it seems to be the best unit I have had yet. So far so good! It has had a couple little stops but it may be a normal thing, I don't know. But at any rate, I am happy so far, and I hope it keeps going well. I am not complaining by any means now, as I have never had a company stand behind their product like this. I am very pleased and hope to continue to be pleased! lol Thank you Ulike! This is my second unit. The first one I purchased off the Ulike website. The first use, the auto function didn't work at all. Sent it back. I didn't want another at the time, it showed me that I couldn't trust the product. Well, dingy me decided to give it another try, but I purchased it here off Amazon this time as it made me feel more secure about it. I even purchased the extra warranty for it. Well, I have only had it about 2 weeks, and slowly, it started having issues of not flashing sometimes. Not all the time, but sometimes. Then using it the last time, I turned it on, (yes it did come on) but there was no flash at all, no function at all. Nothing would work, and it was COLD! I just turned it on! Well, I kept trying it, giving it a few minutes, and then it worked again. Not for long but it did. Nonetheless, it is too much money for this thing, along with extra warranty cost, to keep with it functioning this way. Put a sour taste in my mouth ONCE AGAIN! Not worth the hassle not knowing if it is going to function or not, and always worrying about it affecting your progress because of having to send it away. Back it goes. I bought this one because I had purchased a cheapie and it stopped working but at least it was a cheapie! Of course that happened past the return window, and now I am looking for another, but I will tell you it will be another cheapie I think! I am so disgusted with this! Ugh! Not worth the money for this IMO. Sorry! I am glad for the people that have good luck with it. ... show more
