This is a good product but only for one room maybe 12 x 12. If you keep the door closed, it will keep the room cool. Do not purchase this trying to cool your entire living room it won't work in open spaces and you will be upset.

    • Great Option for 1-2 rooms
We used this to help cool our house when our AC unit died. We needed something for our main living area (family room/kitchen) that would keep them comfortable. I can say it works really well and kept us from losing our minds. We did have trouble finding a window to use it in, all our windows are crank so we had to retrofit it to our patio door - which took some extra tape, cardboard, and masking tape. I bought this because my bedroom is warm and I cannot sleep in a hot room. I needed to cool it off at night only and I did not want a window unit. It was fairly east to get it set up to run. One problem I had was the sliding piece that sits in the window was way too long so I had to get creative to get to use it. Love the remote. noise: it’s loud but I do not mind it as I use fan to sleep. It gets really cold! (Which is good). I have had it a few months with no issue.     • E5 Error code, unit no longer working after barely a year.
We bought this product twice. The first time in April, 2023 and the second time in June 2023. The one we bought in June has been used in our living room and up until now, it has worked amazing. No issues. Well, unfortunately today, that all changed. If we try to use the cool setting, it will automatically turn off after 1 minute with the error code “E5” on the little display. I read through the manual and nowhere does it mention the E5 Error code. I cleaned the little filters to see if maybe that would help solve the issue but no luck. It works just fine on the fan setting but not the cooling setting. Another review (From July 2024) mentioned this error code as well. They said they had to contact customer service and after struggling to get in contact, they were told that they don’t know what it means and that they just need to replace the entire unit. I just contacted support and I’m waiting to hear back, hopefully with better news than that customer received. If I get told how to fix this or they offer to replace our unit, I’ll update my review and let y’all know. As of right now though, I’m highly disappointed. When we ordered this, we paid $340. As of right now, this is not worth $340. We’ve only had this a year. ... show more

    • Perfect for small houses and cabins
Bought this AC unit for our son who is a ranger for the NPS. It’s been a very hot summer even for the mountain west. However this unit was clutch for making conditions right in his cabin. It would easily cool down his cabin within minutes of coming home and turning it on (with these old cabins w old wiring he dared not leave it on and unattended during the day) despite his cabin being in full afternoon sun, he was quite comfortable in the evenings. It also purified the air and made for a better environment for his allergies. It was easy to install and very efficient to use.     • Great for additional bedroom coolness
Live in Southeast United States where the temperature in the spring and summer ranges from 80s- 100s. Use this AC to add some additional coolness to my bedroom without cooling the entire apartment. Very easy to set up, and was able to get up and running within 15 min of delivery. Have been using every day for about a month. It is a little louder, but I typically sleep with a white noise machine and this fits right in. This is a smaller unit, so only feedback that I have is that you need to ensure that it continuously runs throughout the day if there is no secondary AC unit. Central AC went out about a week ago for a day and apartment got to the high 80s. Did not have this portable AC unit on and it took it a couple hours to fully cool my bedroom ( door closed and vents sealed while central AC was out) from high 80s to high 60s. ... show more

    • Doesn't Last Long
Had the product for over 1 yr and ready to throw it out. It worked great at first, though some times it felt like the compressor was going out. Now it cannot even cool the one room its supposed to. It is set to 70, and the room is still near 80.
