Primus good product with upgrades it be great! Make one for the omnifuel too! Easy to install. Unscrew the original burner and screw this one on. Done. Preheating is a little different. You add preheating fuel(denatured alcohol) and MAKE SURE IT GOES OUT BEFORE LIGHTING THE TOP OF THE BURNER! If you turn it on before preheating fuel goes out it can and most times will go into underburn!! You’ll know. It will sound strange and the cap will glow red hot!! Bad!! But all silent burners like these will do this. As for how it runs. Burns gas, white gas and even kerosene well!!the burner cap sits low in the burner and I think if it was a little higher even 5/16” higher it would be perfect!! It’s quiet. Burns good and hot! Simmers well. This is where I’m talking about. Simmer. It will glow red hot. If the burner was higher it wouldn’t be red hot. Yes you want heat to vaporize the fuel but there is a point where it’s to hot and this is border line to hot. This is where it will go into underburn if there’s any breeze even slight. I mean low low simmer to cook white steamed rice!! Yes it can be modified but primus. Please raise the burner a bit. I’d gladly talk about this. I have done this and have only had perfect runs with no underburn since!! Make a bigger one for the omnifuel!! I have an omnilite with silent burner in my trangia 27 duossal for years now. Love it!! Perfect!! I have another with silent burner to that I use with cook sets. Awesome!! I have a third in a trangia 25 duossal set and also great!! Love it over my Polaris in that setup!! I tried the Berniedawg caps and quietstove caps. They work but have to be wired into place. Even then it’s not a perfect burn. But is quiet. I prefer this burner over both. Feb.9 2022 Just bought another one for one of my other Omnilite Ti stoves. I have 3 now. Like it so much I’m buying one for each stove. I have an Omnilite Ti in my trangia 27 with silent burner and it is awesome!! ... show more

    • This is a well made silencer only for omnilite ti, not for the others.
And it was not designed for heavy or dirty fuels like Kerosene, motor gasoline and so on. Only White gas and LPG canister fuel would be suitable that are declared on the manual and its package box. With Kerosene, it works but not allowed by Primus. It needs way too much Priming otherwise the heavy un-vaporized fuel should make the tons of flame and soot. So I have this one, but I am a Kero user so cannot apply this. ... show more
