We have an EFX 222 for about 5-6 years now with 2000 hours, and now it has a clicking noise which might require changing the pulley assembly ($151.80) or magnetic brake assembly ($329). This is a great machine. I'm not sure why there is a headphone jack if you cannot connect any type of music player though. Also, it would be nice if the reading material was more in depth.     • Very disappointed
We purchased the EFX 222 few years ago and suddenly it developed a clicking noise, after lubricated the flywheels and belt, it still has the noise. We emailed Precor customer service and they told us that it's out of warranty already and suggested that we call a local repair shop and they quoted us for $225 just to come out and if parts needed, it would cost another $400 - $500 extra (plus labor). This is too expensive! I can get a refurbished one for about the same price. I think I will not buy another Precor machine again. So disappointed! ... show more

We have had a Precor elliptical in the past that worked for years. This one came and was professionally assembled. There is a defect in the right pedal. It does not track properly. Near the top of the stride it begins to rub against the frame. I have been unsuccessful in getting a response from Amazon. ... show more

Wow, we love this machine. We chose to put it together ourselves rather than to pay the extra and wait for a technician to do it for us. If you're patient and can follow directions, it's a no-brainier (as a veteran of assembling IKEA stuff, this is a cinch). Now I look forward to using it daily and miss the exercise if I don't. ... show more
