  • Almost fit my Acura ball Joint
Size: Honda
I needed to replace the ball joints on my 06' Acura TL and this was very close to fitting in the knuckle. It was just a little too small to fit around the ball joint. I was able to grind away some of the metal on the specialty adapter to make it fit and remove the ball joint but I would recommend a large hammer or shop press to do the job instead. This set was cheap enough and made well enough that it doesn't bother me I needed to modify it. You will still need the c-clamp as this kit does not come with it. ... show more

  • 2007 GMC 2500 Duramax
Size: Kit
I used this kit to remove my upper ball joint on my 2007 GMC Sierra 2500 Duramax. I used a bit of heat to get it to break free. The tool bends for sure and losing it's clamping force when it starts to happen. I was using a 3' breaker bar on a 3/4 drive. I soaked the ball joints with penetrating fluid prior too. My parts weren't even rusty. The lower one didn't budge when I tried the first time, so I found on a concrete driveway, with a jack under the lower arm, it was easier to use a super heavy ball peen hammer to hammer it out. 25 years of swinging a hammer helped. I bought an AC delco lower ball joint and that sucker didn't want to go in, clamp just bent. So once I got a big load on the clamp I would hammer the bottom of the clamp and it would be enough to force that ball joint in. I bought a KR6696 Kryptonite upper and that went in super smooth, highly recommend that part, great quality. I might buy a Snap On clamp to do my other side. There is a lot of different sizes and combinations I was able to get the perfect sizes I needed. The clamp barely opened big enough to fit (could have cut ball joint to get more room). For the price it did the job and obviously a 2500 is on the bigger side of the spectrum. ... show more

  • It worked on a 2004 Honda Element.
Size: Honda
This review is for the 641321 PowerBuilt Honda Lower Ball Joint Adapter Kit. I used it successfully on a 2004 Honda Element EX. I needed the extra wide opening of the Astro Pneumatic Goliath ball joint tool to cover the stacked parts of this kit. The forcing screw and most of the clamp length will be under the lower control arm. Clearance was limited with the car on jack stands, so I ended up having to pull the steering knuckles off and do this at the workbench. Setup for removal was easy, and ball joints were removed quickly. Installation needs more explanation than provided. You add the thinwall sleeve inside the same offset cup that was on top (receiving) for removal, now installed in the lower (receiving) position. Add the thin cap on top so it contacts only on the rim of the ball joint, not in the center. Keeping everything aligned and centered, push the ball joint all the way through the knuckle, and verify that there is room to install the snap ring. Note that I had to replace the 1st ball joint I used this on. If the tool is not kept centered, it will hang up and cut the seal on the ball joint. The tool survived with relatively minor damage. ... show more

  • Barely fits a 5th Gen prelude
Size: Honda
This does not fit the 5th prelude like a glove well. But it still gets the job done. Just make sure you have this and the ball press kit. Mix and match to get it to work it to come out. Then gets about 90% out then have to finish with a hammer. Just know when the cup removes it. It will bite into the cup and get caught up and have to beat off with a hammer. But install works great. ... show more

  • Doesn’t fit a Honda Accord 2016
Size: Honda
I thought it would fit a 9th Gen Accord. Didn’t see anything on the description mentioning it.. but I bought it in case it did. It’s very well built, the metal isn’t cheap. The parts have some nice weight to it, however, it just wasn’t useful for me.

  • Ball and U Joint Service Set, 23 Piece Tool Kit
Size: Kit
This set should cover the bases for most DIY auto repair guys. It appears to be of very decent quality and should last a lifetime if used properly. My only gripe is not with the product but with shipping... this item is very, very heavy. It was placed inside a box with no cushioning or packing. The case was slightly damaged and one of the case closure clips also arrived broken. Shipping via the big A****n is getting worse every day. ... show more
