I have owned or used a few different sets of PowerBlocks over the years and the Pro Exp 100s are by far the best. They combine the best elements of different sets (urethane for quieter usage, square shape for better balance). One common complaint about PowerBlocks is the cage design of the handle and the Pro Exp 100 handles fix this - it’s more of an open handle so it doesn’t feel restricting or close to your wrist in the way other sets do. I love how the plates have the weight written in large font, which makes it easier to see how much you’re lifting compared to looking at the color chart on the handle. PowerBlocks have nearly unmatched reliability and I expect this set to be no different. I purchased the barbell, kettlebell, and stand accessories as well for a complete set. Had the dumbbells for 6 months and they are awesome. I’ll be using them for years to come. ... show more

    • A bit upsetting, it’s a single not a pair
So, it’s completely my fault. It is listed in the description and I must have skipped over it, regardless it’s still upsetting. I was excited to get a new set of dumbells. It was down near 200 dollars so I pulled the trigger and bought one…… this is where I messed up. This is not for a dumbell set, it’s for a single dumbell….. I’m really not sure if I just want to keep the one dumbbell or return it but make sure you click that you want two if you are looking for the set. The deal is now over so I’m almost paying what I would have paid for the 2nd dumbell as I would have paid total if I had got the set originally. Edit: it is as advertised and I caved and bought the second pair at the normal price. Really poor mistake on my end but I’ll relearn to read all the way through before making a decision like that again. ... show more

These barbells are built to last, except for the flimsy plastic pin used to hold all the weight together. My package arrived in good condition, but as you can see from the photo, the plastic selector snapped on one side. I’ve reached out to Powerblock to see if they would send a replacement, but I'm debating whether it’s better to return it. If this thing is so easy to break, it suddenly doesn’t feel as well made as advertised. ... show more
