  • Portable with great features.
I like all of the presets and readouts on the display. It makes duplicating a tone very easy, versus my normal interface with only knobs. Works great with Bias FX2 on iPad. It's just as useful with other software. Worth the money.

  • great product
This is an amazing product and a must for those who purchase BIAS FX from Positive Grid. I gave a 3 star for the easy to use category because it took me forever to figure out the Metranome feature and how to get the darn thing to work :-) there is also custom setting that there is no info on how to setup. Bottom line is that the product is solid, but may take some work to figure out some of it's features. ... show more

  • Great, but can only recommend for ios
I originally tried this with a Microsoft surface. I followed the instructions and repeatedly installed the ASIO driver which is how PCs recognize this hardware which is actually designed for Apple products. Customer Service was very pedestrian in their response finally telling me to send screen shots for them to diagnose. I got a used iPad from Swappa for $100 and was immediately using the product without fail. I purchased the upgrade to pro for $20 and got all the amps. The software sounds great and it's actually more reliable than my $700 pod go. We live in the future now. ... show more

  • Pretty straight forward with good sound
I'm using this with Logic Pro, so setting up the box was really just a matter of plugging it in. There is also some software that's integrated with the audio interface, but that costs a bit more. The controls on the box a fairly simple to understand. Once I set it all up and stabilized my levels, I got awesome sound from my guitar to Logic Pro and was able to use my DAW guitar plugins to get whatever sound I needed. ... show more

  • Great computer & iPhone/iPad interface for recording and guitar tone exploration
I love this product for recording my guitar into my computer and being able to do so with tone shaping via BIAS FX 2. The sound is great; sounds like the preamps are very good.

  • Perfect in design. Meh in sound.
I really wanted to like this. I tinkered with the software before I ever reveived the Riff, so I was anticipating something killer. The software is fantastic, I'll give it that. Being able to tweak damn near any audible property possible was really cool. The device itself; also, really cool. Easy to use. Really straightforward. All great so far. Until I heard it. I spent the better part of a full week trying to find variations of amps, speakers, pre-amps, compressors, boosts, and EQ's, etc. that DIDN'T make every amplifier sound like an 80's Digitech rackmount preamp. Every setting, and I mean - EVERY setting had a signature, I dunno, 'fakeness' to it. Like a massive amplifier being played thru a traffic cone. I heard the variations. I tweaked the frequencies. But nothing I did ever made it sound very natural. More like a small amp on steroids. To add, I was never able to resolve the latency issue. Although VERY minor, it was enough to throw me off when trying to play along with other music. And the Positive Grid support is non-existant. Nobody to talk to. All done thru a ticketing system. Which is unfortunate, as perhaps I'd have had better luck trying something that could have been suggested to me. I'm not really into effects, although the software was packed with them. I really just wanted to like a few of the amps and start from there. Unfortunately I never really heard one amp that did anything for me, and the addition of effects only made it sound like trying to put lipstick on a pig. Very unfortunate. I was really excited for this to be as good as advertised. The Spark 40, on the other hand - absoluely love it! ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY POSITIVE GRID PRODUCTS - you will not get a refund if you don't like it
I tried this RIFF interface and honestly did not like it. The tones in the included software running on the PC just sounded really fake and crappy. Totally unusable. I mean, like first generation, Zoom plastic modeller from 2002 bad. So I uninstalled the software returned the RIFF to Positive Grid (I made the mistake of ordering it directly from Positive Grid's website instead of through Amazon. NEVER DO THIS). They sent me a return shipping label and their return policy says that you can return products within 30 days for any reason if you are unhappy. THIS IS A LIE. I paid $79.00 plus tax ($6.04) and $10 shipping for a total of $95.04. but they inexplicably only refunded me $64. Emails to them asking for an explanation and where the rest of my refund is have gone unanswered. So the experiment with the RIFF left me empty handed and $31 poorer for having made the mistake of purchasing a Positive Grid product, which i guarantee I will NEVER do again. Avoid this company, Amazon shoppers! ... show more
