This tool is great for a small 12 ft wide 3 ft deep pool and this is the perfect tool for cleaning.     • Good skimmer, does the job!
This isn't the best skimmer out there, but it absolutely does the job. I was thrilled that it came with both the net and a pole to make things a bit easier, so that helped a ton. The pole is long enough for you to reach around your pool and get bugs and debris, but if you are wanting to grab some dog toys, pool toys, or miscellaneous items from the bottom of the pool, you will definitely need a longer pole to help you out with that. This is more a basic skimmer or something you'd use as a secondary or replacement. It's good to have especially if you're in a bind and need to clean, but it's not nearly as long as the other poles I have. The net is also great because I've purchased some skimmers in the past where the mesh was too big and let too much debris pass through, the mesh on this skimmer is great because it catches dang near everything that shouldn't be floating in your pool! ... show more

Good, sturdy skimmer. Pole is strong enough for length. Easy to put together and/or take apart to store. Net itself is versatile as it can be attached to my much longer broom pole to scoop anywhere in the pool.

    • Love the long handle
There is almost a foot difference between my husband and I, so we often find ourselves at a loss when something is the perfect length for the other. For him, with his long arms, he needs a shorter tool, whereas I, with my t-rex limbs, need something longer. This skimmer offers both, making cleaning out our above-ground easier for either of us. The skimmer net itself gets all the yuck out of the pool, and is finely meshed enough that it even picks up the little buggies that get in the pool over night. None of the ones we've had previously were this tightly woven, so I'm extremely pleased with it!! ... show more

I ordered this ‘Pool Skimmer Net with Pole’ to replace old net I’d been using. My old net had a hole or two in it, so I figured it needed replacing. I know pool nets…especially those with longer handles…are shipped in sections to save space. But in my opinion, they are not nearly as sturdy as the one piece pole models you can pick up at the pool store. This ‘Pool Skimmer Net with Pole’ is nice in that it has quite a long reach. My pool is 12’ on the shortest side, so this pole does allow me to almost reach the center. The net, itself, is a little thin for my liking. I can see it tearing if it gets caught on something. It doesn’t have a lot of rigidity to it, so it’s a bit hard to empty when you’re done using it. I do like the way the net head is designed with the scooped sides. That does make it easier to retrieve things from the pool. All in all, this ‘Pool Skimmer Net with Pole’ is an ok option for a pool skimmer net. It has good reach and has a nice design. I just don’t know how durable it will be with the thin netting and the sectioned pole. ... show more

I had to scoop out pincher bugs that were shot out of my hose while filling up my above ground 6.9ft pool. I had to dump the gross water but the bugs were the first thing I scooped up and after that got resolved and fresh water was filled, I later scooped out some gnats that got inside the enclosed tent that holds my pool from when I had it open when the hose was inside filling the pool. So this skimmer was tested for real against two types of bugs. When I put my skimmer together I used the skimmer head, on connecting pole, and the handle part to do what I needed it to do. There are two pole attachments for reserve, this skimmer is a great tool to keep any size pool bug-free. ... show more

Not a bad unit, the net has a deep pocket and does a good job of skimming the pool. It is deeper than the one that came with my 20 foot round pool and hold more leaves, sticks, etc..., but is quite a bit shorter, it can't even get to the middle of the pool if I'm trying to scoop leaves from the outside edge. I would have loved to see the unit have about 3 more sections included to extend it to reach the middle of my 20 ft pool like my other one. The edge of the net is flat and I could see the benefit of it maybe being more beneficial scooping a leaf on the bottom of the pool, but with the short pole length, I couldn't test that theory. All in all I like the net, but with it not being as long as I needed it for my use, it's usage is limited for me since I have a bigger pool. ... show more
