  • Strength
Color: 0.75kg Polymax Pla Teal
The media could not be loaded. Super strong, easy printing, great product. #PolymakerShill For a more detailed understanding of PolyMax PLA, you need to understand Polylite PLA and PLA Pro. Polylite PLA will snap if you bend it. PolyMax PLA will bend and show white stress marks but won't snap. PLA Pro is in the middle of the two. It will bend half way, show stress marks, and then snap. PolyLite is already stronger then the average PLA I've purchased or have seen, but PolyMax is crazy. I made a hammer, nail, and picture bracket and was able to punch straight through my wall. That picture has been hanging for the past few months. ... show more

  • Best filament i've ever used!
I've been using a 3d printer for years and recently tried the blue polymaker polymax pla, along with some PETG and PET filament. This polymax is hands down the best filament i've ever used! It adheres to the bed perfectly every time, does not warp, no odor, and its very tough stuff. The layers are bonded so tightly that the part essentially becomes fused as one. It's not rigid like pla, but has a small amount of flex similar to abs. This means that its perfect for threading screws into it and the threads lock into the material perfectly unlike a typical pla which is too hard and brittle. When comparing this material to the PETG, PET, ABS or PLA there's no competition and what surprised me was that the prints were just beautiful. The print lines are very clean and perfect. The strength of this material also far surpasses pla or abs. I performed a break test on all 3 materials and i couldn't even manage to break the polymax sample. I'm using a Makergear M2 and printed with a 50c bed temp, 220c extruder temp, 4800mm/min, fan on full after first layer. ... show more

  • No problems, quickly shipped.

  • Exceptionally tough
Color: 0.75kg Polymax Pla Pink
Very tough filament, very different than a regular PLA+. Very good impact strength and layer adhesion.

  • Excellent material, TERRIBLY wound!
Color: 0.75kg Polymax Pla Fde Beige
This stuff prints FANTASTIC, and is incredibly strong! But... the filament is wound like kite-string. there's huge valleys along the spool several meters long that eventually snap over across the spool causing unacceptable layer shifts. I love the material, but It's way too expensive to get sucker punched by a snag on a fresh spool 15-20 hours in. I rebuilt my whole printer before realizing the spool was the issue, switching to a different filament and printing the same slice perfectly. This seems to be a hit and miss problem, sometimes they're wound very nicely, others they're a mess. It's a crapshoot, but on shorter prints not as much of an issue. ... show more

  • Great Filament
This is really good filament. It's not the cheapest filament you can buy, but in this case you get what you pay for. It was easy to use and I never had filament related problems while printing. It isn't as rigid as regular PLA, but it seems much stronger. If you take a piece of the filament directly off the spool and bend it several times you'll find that it's quite difficult to break while standard PLA usually breaks after one or two bends. ... show more

  • Great stuff but...
Color: 0.75kg Polymax Pla Grey
Great stuff but if you're looking to print certain high-impact, high-force, loud American things that make loud noises then I would recommend plain old PLA PRO (PLA+). Or better yet, PA6-GF/CF. Polymaker prints really smoothly. No issues. Great product. Easy to print. I can also recommend Duramic3D PLA+. ... show more

  • This stuff is great....wish I found it sooner
I have been 3d printing for 4~5 years now and once in a while I learn something that is a game changer for me. Was using decent filament previously (not garbage) with "ok" results but didn't know exactly what to expect for quality etc. I saw this filament on Amazon bragging about the superb printing, toughness, smoothness etc and decided to give it a try. Right out of the gate on a fairly complex part I was blown away. Here is a tip for you that has helped me with PLA in general: I use BuildTak sheets on my print bed (unheated). Make up a can of acetone with some PLA scraps (not a lot) mixed in and wipe it onto your plate between prints. BuildTak is expensive but with the solution applied I am not only getting great adhesion but probably 10x more prints from a sheet. Buy this filament........ you will not be sorry........price is pretty good too. Charlie ... show more
