Electrostatic discharge (ESD) is a sudden and momentary flow of electric current between two electrically charged objects caused by contact, an electrical short , or dielectric breakdown. A buildup of static electricity can be caused by tribocharging or electrostatic induction. The ESD occurs when differently charged objects are brought close together or when the dielectric breaks down, often creating a visible spark.

  • PolyLite is high quality filament.
Color: 1kg Petg Red (Hex Code: #De4343)
This review is for the Polymaker PolyLite PETG filament, Red (#de4343), October 2023 I am using the PolyLite filament to print the object in the photograph at this very moment. It is performing MUCH better than the Duramic PETG I was using for other projects. So far I have had ZERO blobs on the walls of my print and very minimal stringing at 80mm/s at 235°. In the close-up photo you can see that there was a little problem with layer adhesion in one spot, but turning the fan up to 75% fixed it immediately. You can also see blobs in the interior, but they will be hidden, so I don’t care. Printing directly on glass with a little hair spray to make sure things stay put. The print has been going for nearly 15 hours at the time of the photos. Bed temp is set at 75°, but my bed runs about 5° cool, so it’s actually at 70°. The filament is a bright, deep, and shiny RED. We will have to see how long it holds its deep color. ... show more

  • Really nice color and printability for PETG
Color: 1kg Petg Dark Green (Hex Code: #3d441e)
I would say that this filament is slightly easier than most PETG to print, and I print a lot of PETG. The color is really good And has a very slight satin or semi gloss sheen.

  • First time use of PETG and it was perfect
Color: 1kg Petg Translucent Red (Hex Code: #Cb3...
I bought this to try after 2 years of only using PLA and finally got tired of my projects being fragile. I found that it is way easier to use PETG than I have read. I had NO adhension issues or essevive stringing as some describe with this type filament. The Translucent Red color is very cool. I am surprised at the strength of PETG and it will now be my "go to" for my printing. I find this filament worked best for me at 240C with a bed temp of 80C. The diameter is consistent and I had zero feed issues on the whole roll. I did have to change the nozzle tip (.4)in the beginning as the one I was using for PLA didn't seem to agree with continuing to use the old PLA used nozzle. I was probably due for a nozzle change anyway. Bottom line: Great price, strong prints, sticks to the bed and releases with ease after the bed cools. My unit is a Creality CR 6SE ... show more

  • Great customer support
Color: 1kg Petg Silver (Hex Code: #75787b)
I have purchased two spools of PETG filament from Polymaker. One of the two was up to standards and printed well but did need to go at a slower speed for higher quality prints this can be expected of PETG. The other one of the two was on the spool backwards and tangles where present and most importantly lines appeared on the print. However Polymaker support reached out to me and determined there was a batch issue. Polymaker agreed to send me another spool free of charge. It is true that one of the spools had serious issue but they reached out to me and agreed to send out a replacement. There isn't many companies in any industry that do that. This support convinced me to rewrite my review I will post any update I have with the new spool as well. ... show more

  • THIS was BLACK filament. NOT WHITE as shown. -POOR PRINT QUALITY-
Color: 1kg Petg White (Hex Code: #Ffffff)
Date of review: 6-12-24. For some reason Amazon thinks this is white filament but it's black! I've been using Polymaker brand filament for quite awhile now. AND for a long time I've gotten great results but it seems like since Oct of 2023 the quality has went downhill. Had an issue with tangling on some red PETG I tried to use, (WHICH TO THEIR CREDIT) was replaced but I just an issue with some black filament I bought late last year that cost me over 5 hours on a job. Between prints I store all my Polymaker filament in the bag it comes in with some desiccant packs. It stays in the bag and in the box until I'm ready to dry it before printing. The photos you see are from: 1. A roll I purchased late last year and then stored as above. 2. After pulling the roll, it got dried at 60degC overnight. That's always worked! Somewhere in that roll there were really BAD SPOTS. Bad adhesion and Lord knows what else. This lack of quality cost me more than $47 in time and material! I know it's well past the window to return for return or refund but if anyone at Polymaker reads this PLEASE get in touch with me. You guys do a great job of fixing issues with your filament and I'd really like this fixed. Thanks. Steve C. ... show more

  • Very pleased ! Love this petg filament
Color: 1kg Petg Translucent Red (Hex Code: #Cb3...
I have been using cr-series petg filaments and couldn't find transparent red for a project i was working on . This hit the mark . It is my experience that my printer prints transparent petg best at lower listed temps …bed 70°c and extruder 235°c . Opaque colors seem to like a bit more heat! But every setups different . P.S. the less infill the more transparent the color . Also if you use to much cooling or cooling fans at all you will distort the color and make it milky … so best used with no cooling or very little . Retraction needs turned up to a bit to keep the stringing down . ... show more

  • Not a normal PETG
Color: 1kg Petg Dark Grey【new】
Lots of reviews talk about having issue, and I see why. It appears to be more picky about temps than I am used to seeing. I had a few issues printing simple stuff. I was able to get it working (mostly) by using more cooling and slower print speeds than I would normally use with PETG.
