The media could not be loaded. I am 100% satisfied with this light. It mounts perfectly to my Ibera pak rack! Very bright, and it looks like it was built into the rack it fits so perfectly! I've gotten over 7 hours with it on full, and am now testing the "pulse" mode, which they say over 9 hours but will have to see for myself. Overall, im so happy I went with the USB charger over batteries. A little more money but well worth it. The media could not be loaded. I love how it is so bright. The attached picture is to show how well the reflector works with the phone "flash" on. The video is to show the different modes. If you have riders (that you like) closely following you at night, you're going to want to use a dimmer light than this one. No problems with the included mount. ... show more

Love planet bikes stuff. Rechargeable is the way to go, minimize throw away battery waste and it lasts longer and is brighter. This has multiple modes from solid on to blinking. Very bright which is what you want when biking, it makes you more visible and thus safer. The person saying this is too bright is mental. If you want a dim light go get an alkaline battery operated light. This is a rechargeable big boy light. ... show more

Excellent. Mounted it using the included bracket to my Ibera bike rack. So far I have used it two days in a row without additional recharge 11 hours total and it still has charge ( flashing mode). IP65 was a selling point for me when comparing to the cheaper non rechargeable AAA battery model which is IPX3 rated. Solidly built and bright just what you need for that long strange trip down the golden road. Update February 3rd - Works great. Best bike brake light I've owned.     • To Bright, Only "Crazy" Flashing Mode
Bought this because of the built in reflector and what looked like a "line" appearance from the light. What I wanted was a reliable rear light to bike both by myself or with other people. But... - It seems to be to bright off-axis to avoid annoying people biking behind me. It's probably fine for car traffic but I want to be able to put it on steady and not make the person riding behind me dislike me because of my overly bright rear light reducing their ability to see anything else. Note that a "Planet Bike Blinky Superflash USB 0.5W Tail Light, Red/Black" is my other light for comparison and it was fine on steady. - No steady "on-off-on-off" beam pattern. You have the typical "completely nuts" superflash pattern, a to-slow "steady then brighter then less bright" courtesy pattern, and steady. ... show more

Great light. Nice and bright, and fits on my Topeak MTX Explorer rack with the included hardware without interfering with the quick release trunk system. If you look at the seatpost mount, its marked "TOP" with the release tab pointing down. The rack mount bolts right on to the end of the rack the same way; release tab pointing down. The light slips right into the mount and clicks into place from the top, right side up, and has plenty of clearance for the trunk's quick release track setup. The instructions are pretty vague when it comes to installation, but with a little common sense and thought(and the help of my pics) you can figure it out. The overall housing is pretty thick, and as others have mentioned the light does not function while charging. I might never need to use it while it's charging, but it could be an important feature to have that ability! Overall a great light that is sure to improve visibility to the rear. ... show more

    • Perfect for my Rear Rack
I’m a big fan of Planet Bike Lights because they are bright and the flash is an annoying strobe light so its hard for motorists to not see you. I have a couple of rear lights from them but none are mad to mount on bike racks. When i have a bag on my rack, no one can see my seat stem and I have lost a light trying to rig it places it wasn’t designed to be. This one fit my Topeak rear rack like a glove. Topeak makes a light but the reviews on it aren’t that good. Plus this one is usb rechargeable. I dont like buying tons of coin batteries to power my bike gadgets so being able plug it in saves time, money (coin batteries are pricey), and waste. I hope more bike products start going the rechargeable route and stop using uncommon batteries that are hard to find and expensive to replace. Also the instructions are garbage and mention nothing about rack installs. If you are mounting to the rear rack, you don’t remove the clip on the back (Thankfully it was sturdy enough to resist my attempts). All you have to do is slide the whole thing into the groove and it clicks into place. ... show more

    • Good for attaching to a rear rack
I was looking for a rear tail light to fit on the rack of my touring bike. Most lights are designed to wrap around a seat post, and that wasn’t going to work for me. The light has a built-in clip, and it comes with a mounting bracket that can be attached to a rack. The light itself is BIG and BRIGHT. I didn’t pay attention to the dimensions before purchase and was shocked at how big this is in comparison to other tail lights I have. I was also surprised about how bright it is. I continued to see red flashes after I turned it off and closed my eyes! If you want to be seen, and if you’re looking for a tail light that doesn’t attach to your bike’s seat post, this may be the light for you! My only concern the USB charging port cover is attached with a very flimsy strand of rubber. I know that after some use the cover is going to break off. ... show more
