  • So bright.
Style: Battery Powered
This is so worth the buy. Since the sun has been setting earlier these days, we still wanted to go on bike rides after work. I love that it has different setting on the light - steady, fast blinking, slow blinking. It’s really bright as well. It lights up our path and cars are able to see us coming. they did not come with batteries so you’ll need AAA and AA. They are adjustable straps to attach to your bike. I put it on my sons power wheels as well and it’s great. Very functional and small size but so strong and bright. Worth every penny! ... show more

  • Value for price is outstanding
Style: Battery Powered
Bought this for my son who rides his bike to school in the dark in the mornings. It provides outstanding safety and visibility. Easy installation that is impermanent and does not damage or mar the bike. Uses aaa batteries, which is nice and simple. This is not a super bright spot light that you could mountain bike trails at night with, but for increased visibility and safety on marginally lit city streets, you can't beat it at this price. Even if the durability doesn't stand up, it's a fraction of the price of most other options and I'll happily buy it again. So far, after weeks of use, no issues whatsoever. ... show more

  • Good taillight, flawed headlight.
Style: Battery Powered
The headlight has 5 LEDs, and is reasonably bright for the price. The front of the headlight lacks a gasket, but has recessed tabs and fits together snugly enough I would be confident of its water resistance in heavy rain. The problem is that the lens makes 4 of the LEDs useless. Over each LED, the lens has a bubble shaped into it. The result is a single, very narrow beam from the middle LED and a faint kaleidoscope pattern cast by the other 4 that vanishes at any usable distance, leaving you with only the light from the single center LED. As a warning device to let other traffic know where you are, it is acceptable. As a means to see the road or trail ahead of you, it fails miserably. A simple flat lens would have been far more effective and cheaper to manufacture as well. There appears to be no easy way to replace the lens, it would take cracking open the entire front assembly where the LEDs are stored, most likely destroying the light. The taillight scores a bit higher, having 3 LEDs and a simple red diffuser cover. For its job, this is acceptable. This cover has a gasket, and is snug enough no water is getting in short of the bike going into a river. And even then, I'd have my doubts. In fact the fit is so tight you will need to use a coin or flathead screwdriver to pop it open and change the batteries. The mounting clip also doubles as a belt clip for use as a safety light while walking. Each light has 3 modes. Mode 1 is steady on. Mode 2 is a steady flashing. The 3rd mode for the headlight is an uneven strobe, while the taillight gets a knight rider style side to side flash. Frankly, I find the 3rd mode of each light to be useless. It would have been better with just the 2 modes each or even just the simple on/off. Between these and the bubbly textured lens, it is a classic case of style ruining the function of what would have otherwise been a good design. I cannot yet speak to battery life, however it is likely the extra driver circuitry for the flashing modes will draw more than a light without these features. Bottom line: Good taillight, flawed headlight. Theres better options out there at the same price point. ... show more

  • It comes with an extra more robust loop holder one as a spare.
Style: Battery Powered
Comes with front, and rear lights. Includes 3 holders, 2 for the front light and 1 for the rear. One of the front holders broke after a few days. but the other one is a screw-in holder, a more robust option that I ended up using.

  • Excellent light - packaging was difficult, use scissors
Style: Battery Powered
The Chromium version with rechargeable front and rear lights was a perfect replacement to my decade old BV AAA battery powered lights. These new lights are extremely bright and I like that the mounting is very easy, if you have existing silicon/rubber inserts. I have a simple Giant hybrid (city) bike and that’s where these are installed. I used a thicker silicon insert from the original installation so that the front light would mount tight enough to not move or fall while riding and to not be annoying when taking the light on and off the front mount. My handlebar thickness is thin, too thin for the silicon wrap to work (the extra flap just blocks the mount, it’s a bad design for thin handlebars). But the screw mount is also bad because the multiple silicon inserts didn’t work either (believe me, I used all of them, and it was still lose after tightening the screw as far as it could possibly go). Since I had a thicker silicon insert from my previous installation, I was able to use that and all was well. The front mount isn’t going anywhere now and I can very easily remove the front light from the mount. The rear light mount is the silicon wrap or the clip (the clip just goes on the flat kit under your saddle, kit sold separately of course). I got lucky here because my down tube on the rear part of the bike frame is thick enough to easily use the silicon wrap mounting, worked perfectly. My flat kit wasn’t BV, but it had the same strap for the clip, but it was just angled downward, so I didn’t use the the clip. Extremely pleased with the upgrade overall, these lights are extremely bright compared to the AAA battery powered ones that they replaced. Be careful, these new lights will blind you, no joke, they are very bright. Cannot comment on how long the rechargeable built in batteries will last (in terms of charge cycles before they completely fail), but I know they will provide hours of ride time at the lower brightness levels. If you want rechargeable lights, and especially if you are replacing very old BV lights, definitely choose these, very nice upgrade from the originals. ... show more
