It's strong. The clamps are good. You will need to cut rubber strips from an old inner tube. The clamp inserts are plastic and will slip unless you put rubber there. I can't believe these smart dudes selling these things don't include rubber strips.

I have this mounted on the front of my basket. I needed to get my mirrors off of the handlebars so my winter pogies would fit. This did that but I wouldn't recommend over using it. It has a tendency to shift slightly even with the rubber things and some additional wrap underneath to help it fasten securely. The pieces that hold it to the bar are pretty thin. For the cost, I think it's worth it. But if you are looking to mount like a bike computer or something I wouldn't necessarily trust this. But for a set of mirrors it's perfect. ... show more

I put this on and tied it down. I went riding the next day. It loosens up on me and it was secure tight. I adjusted the inner rings that come with it to adjust for the gap that does not make a difference at all it still just booze around with That ring that it comes around with so I took it out and clipped it without the ring and it still loosened up ... show more

Light weight and inexpensive. Purchased for bikepacking handlebar bag. However the clamps are too flimsy for this. They can't get a strong grip on the handle bar to hold any legitimate amount of weight. Would be fine for small accessories like phone or camera, but not a bikepacking bag. Not sure why this was "Amazon's Choice." It is pretty flimsy. I ride some bumpy trails, and I wouldn't put more than 8-10oz on this. Definitely wouldn't hold a person leaning onto it. I will use it to hold a couple of small LED lights, and hope it doesn't break. I will update after some riding.
