  • Great value / Easy to use
I live in a rural area and unfortunately with feeding some wild birds in the area I have had an increase in rats. The wife loves the birds so not feeding them is not in the cards and the owls have been negligent in their rat killing duties. So, this green / red dot scope now sits atop my .22 airgun. It did not take much to sight this in (I have sighted it in for a relatively close in 75 feet) and now I can get a very quick sight picture on a rat and dispatch it with haste. I am pleased with the clarity of the optics so far and the ease of mounting it on my airgun. Compared to what sights like this used to cost just a few years ago and I would consider this to be a great value. ... show more

  • Great Product
Shipping was fast and quality was great. Came with instructions, installation tool, battery, lens cleaner and lens caps. Installation was easy. You can choose a RED or GREEN target dot and there is also adjustable brightness. Works great!!! Scope has a very clear view and seems to be very rugged for outdoor use. I notice all of the removable caps all have o-rings. A sign it’s probably water resistant. ... show more

  • Very usable inside of 100 yd
Like any 4 MOA red dot, this is not the thing to be using for bullseye shooting at 100 yd or beyond. Most people will be able to achieve good accuracy at 25 to 50 yards and practical accuracy at 100 yds. It is very easy to sight through, light weight compared to a magnifying optic, and provides a lot of value for the money. Coming with an attached rail mount is even better. This thing is so cheap that if you are even curious about whether you like a red dot on a rifle or not, just buy it. So far I only have about 75 rounds experience with the scope on an AR15 and I think that I'll keep the rifle configured this way. What I didn't like was that there is no marking on the windage or elevation dials, and the manual does not say how much 1 click adjustment moves the point of aim. Instead it says to look at the dial on the scope. I have not checked if the red dot and green dot shoot to the same point of aim. Also I have not done any kind of mechanical stress test. (Check YouTube for that.) Follow-up: I wanted some magnification for shooting at 100yds and more, so took this off the AR and put it on a Ruger 10/22 target lite. That's a better match for this red dot, but still limiting for the rifle. There hasn't been any problem holding zero and it as easy as could be to use. Just remember to turn the illumination off when finished. Previous comment about dials not having any marking is still worth noting. Also, click stops are rather crude so it may not be possible to find a click that is right on the X, if you are target shooting and wanting to be precise about your point of aim. My guess is that each clicks is about 1" at 100 yards ... show more

  • Great red dot for the price
After purchasing a few Sig Romeo 5's (which I highly recommend if you can afford) I wanted to give a cheaper in price red dot a try for general plinking and pest control with my 10/22. I am very pleased with this sight and glad I purchased it. Installation was a breeze and is very secure on my picatinny rail. The red or green dot choice is nice if you need to contrast against a target. I like the brightness contrast between the smallest dot and brightest but wish there was just one more dimmer and smaller dot for dark conditions. Plenty bright for day shooting. Easy to adjust, windage was dead on out of the box, just had to go about 30 clicks up for elevation on my rifle to hit dead on at 20 yards. I did not try any precision shooting but this sight was easily minute of pop can at 20 yards, plenty good for plinking and pests. I would recommend this sight to anyone on a budget or you just want to save money and buy more ammo then this is a sight for you. ... show more

  • Sturdy.
Can not write a honest review. Sent back because the other scope work better. This one sat to high on my rifle. Hard to look through. I am sure it works good on other weapons.

  • Pinty 40mm Red/Green dot
I bought two of these in February 2021, one for my KelTec Sub 2000 9mm and one for my Anderson AM 5.56. Neither had any factory design flaws and each mounted easily enough. The brightness level is really dim or bright with little variance in between (which is fine for a sunny day here in Arizona) but displayed very well during mid-day sunlight. Also, no issues with low light. As for accuracy, I did not adjust either (windage & elevation) prior to their maiden voyage on 3/1 but they performed quite differently. The optic mounted on my 5.56 was shooting high and left with 55gr 223 for the 1st five shots so I adjusted windage and elevation a couple of clicks each of the next few rounds. After 10 shots the dot began plunging down below the base of my backup site with each shot fired. and was never able to get it zeroed in. For this I give it 1 star. With my sub2000 (2k) I used 147 gr 9mm. The 2k has fixed front and peephole rear sights and this dot aligns perfectly. I zeroed in at 20 yds in only two shots at +/- 3" groupings and then moved to 40 & 65 yd distances. After 65 rounds or so this sight never lost zero. The sight that was on my 5.56 is now mounted on my PLR 22, which will be going with me next time, and will hopefully help me determine if the sight was malfunctioning or if it's simply not sturdy enough to withstand the recoil of rifle calibers. My gut is telling me that it's just not sturdy enough but I will update my review once it's figured out. ... show more
