I’m a happy go lucky kind of gal, not into the drama. My aim here (no pun intended) is not to bash Pinty as I’m a loyal customer of their products, but to bring attention to always being prepared, or for better words, have a backup plan if something goes array. I purchased this Pinty laser scope to mount on my Mossberg 88. The fit on the top Picatinny rail is snug / solid. Please note: After reading a few reviews that complained about the mount failing, I beg to differ. The mount has three screws two of which hold the mount to the rail and one that holds the knurled scope to the mount. Don’t be a wussy, tighten the screws with the supplied Allen wrench and rest assured it will survive the onslaught a 12 guage can deliver. I performed a bore sight with my sighting kit and was able to adjust the scope to where I believe I’m comfortable enough to take the gun to the range. The adjustment knobs for elevation and windage performed as expected. Pinty claims the reach of the laser is 300m well over what would be needed for a 12 gauge and I must say it’s pretty bright with no distortion at approximately 100 yards the distance I tested it at. The only thing that griped my A$$ was the supplied tape for the finger switch. It was totally useless as all the glue came off the hook and loop pads and remained on the storage strip which they came attached to. Being the woman who thinks ahead I had in my little pink tool box 10 lb 3M “hook and loop” pads to supplement the crappy ones sent with the scope. They worked like a charm to mount the switch exactly where I was comfortable pressing it. All in All I’m a happy Gal this being my third Pinty scope. With the exception of the crappy pads I would have given 5 stars, but something so simple like a 1/2 penny mounting strip cost a star. If you’re looking for a great inexpensive laser scope , this may very well be a match for you. Just make sure you have on hand replacement mounting pads and all will be well. In closing I’m not a bit sorry for this purchase. Be safe and happy shooting. Update: Range tested with 15 rounds of Remington 00 BK and the mount is as secure as when I installed it. ... show more

Isn't affected by the cold like many others. Not nearly as bright either but for responsible laser users this is a very good thing. It's bright enough to see even with the moon out and that's all you need. The included momentarily switch is a real plus.

This green laser gun sight works well as a telescope finder. I used it on one star party during the lunar occultation of Spica. The construction is solid and it's light enough that sliding the telescope forward in the rings rebalanced easily. Bright is an understatement. Laser pointing adjustments are crisp clicks on the turrets for simple alignment. I hope the momentary micro-switch is robust. I used it for short bursts while aiming the telescope. It's obviously well made. Especially useful are the windage and elevation knobs. A plus you might overlook and missing on others is that the scope mount has a little rail for another attachment, and I happened to have a flashlight with the standard size for such, and voila!--night practice on my land is totally doable. Another plus to using the scope mount is making scope zeroing much faster. I haven't done this yet, but with this setup, one could shot from the hip in a hurry. Be careful of course, but I expect that will be fun. For new-ish shooters like me, this pertains to any rifle laser attachment: read or view a couple of YouTubes about the simple but essential geometry in the pros and cons of different placements (top, bottom, side) and whether to zero to the scope's optical lines or else leave the laser dot parallel. (You'll see what I mean). BTW, it seems all products on the web, especially on Amazon, get a certain percentage of negative reviews from competitors and, well, stupid-Os. The 3 and 4 star, verified, multi-sentence reviews are usually the best, though of course check out both extremes. ... show more

I am 76 years old, had shoulder surgery 6 months back, can't shoot yet, I had 2 choices, 1, I could shoot off the other shoulder (but in the heat of the moment, I know it will go to my new shoulder.) 2, get a laser and shoot from the hip. Works great but, ATTENTION, some posters say it does not stay sighted in, well it won't if it is not squared up to the scope. I have "killed the bullseye" at 15yds to 100yds.
