I originally purchased the cheap imitation version and immediately regretted it. After the first 100 rounds of 9mm it dropped a pivot pin (lost) and a second one was discovered half-way out, needless to say they were quickly returned (thank you Prime Return Policies). Spend the extra and purchase the "real deal." Admittedly, I have not been to the range yet but the Magpul version clearly had a better feel and are of better construction. This is my second pair of "iron sights", the first are Sigs which are actual metal. I really love the ease of use, build and weight of these. The flip-up feature is really cool. I bought them for a home defense PDW so I wasn't too concerned about using plastic. That being said they do feel like a sturdy, quality plastic which should last. I wasted time getting a different set but I have these now. Huge difference in every aspect and I'm very happy with the add on. The other set wasn't terrible but do yourself a favor and just get the Magpul II Update: I went to install the front/rear sight and the rear one kept raising up... Took a closer look just now and the nut side is cracked/broken. I haven't even taken it out to shoot it and try them out. My return window closed the 8th this month - just noticed that. I'm kinda pissed now because I've now invested $300 on Magpul seights and hasn't even left the house. I bought these pop-up ones for the AR-22 and the Magpul iron sights for another one. I will call whomever and see where it goes on what should be an easy warranty issue. ... show more

Love these front and rear sights from Magpul! You really can't beat the price for the two of them together. Especially if you're sticking with the Magpul brand. I've ordered three packs of these and attached them to my sporting rifles. They are made from great material and hold up very well!
