Description

Leave the guesswork behind using Xero® A1i PRO bow sight. Setting up this auto-ranging digital sight is simple and intuitive with microadjustments for elevation, windage and more. Enter your arrow speed, and automatically get a pin stack out to your bow’s maximum distance. The dynamic level feature delivers leveling information right next to the pin, so you don’t have to shift focus to see if your shot is level. Quick detach makes it easy to remove the sight for travel, then reattach it to its original position in seconds. This sight also features second-axis adjustment, a silent trigger for full- draw or at-rest ranging, customizable arrow profiles and dual-color LEDs. To help track your game or arrows, the Laser Locate™ waypoint projection feature works with compatible Garmin devices (sold separately) to show you exactly where the target was located when the shot or range was taken. Some jurisdictions regulate or prohibit the use of electronic bow sights for hunting. Always know and obey all state hunting regulations before using this device.

  • Wonderful for hunting - I'm not sure about target archery
Style: Right -Handed
First of all - it's noticeably heavier than a normal sight. No question about that. Holding up a bow, especially over dozens of shots, will cause your muscles to tire. Having a heavier sight is going to have a negative impact on your accuracy, unless you have excellent strength and endurance. This is not entirely different to adding weight for the sake of stabilizing though. Secondly - it takes some effort to calibrate, but more importantly, you do need to have very consistent form to get the reticle to line up, which does also impact your accuracy. This isn't terribly difficult to do, after a month or two of practicing archery, you should be able to do this. Third issue - where you point the reticle to sight the target is not the same spot that the pin to shoot it at will be. So, if your shooting something far away, you might "point" your sight high up in your target, and then move your bow up to reach the pin for the target which is towards the bottom the sight. This is a bit of extra effort and time, but with practice it is only a second or so. So, why would you want to buy this? It's heavy, and it's a bit of extra work... so what's the upside? Basically it's just that the rangefinder is built into your sight, and it accounts for distance and angle for you automatically. It also (optionally) shows your level in-line (next to) your pin. When you're ranging the target, you get one single pin to shoot at which is super clean. There isn't a whole lot of value here in my opinion, outside of hunting. If you're shooting stationary targets (even 3d targets), you're probably better off with a good rangefinder and a normal adjustable sight. For hunting, I do believe it's worth the cost. Even if the heaviness of the sight affects your accuracy - which I don't believe is true at all for your first dozen shots (and you should only need 1 for hunting), the improvement in accuracy of having a *perfect* pin is more important than that. Often times with hunting you may draw your bow after the animal is ranged, for the animal to move after you've drawn. You don't want to repeat the whole process and risk spooking the animal, so you're going to start guessing how far it moved and in what direction - this sight takes out the guess work. For hunting, the heaviness also is offset a bit by the convenience of not carrying around a separate rangefinder. I don't personally mind the extra weight, but it's certainly noticeable when practicing with 100 arrows. ... show more

  • Not for Beginners
Style: Right -Handed
Let me just get this out of the way. Learn to shoot with a traditional sight first. Understanding the fundamentals will make you a better archer, but also will help you understand how to program this sight. It does require some tedious set up and if you want it to do what you want it to do you need to know how to manipulate the adjustments in order to do that. The glass is clear and I haven’t had any issues with fogging or dirt. The micro adjustments are a must. I could not imagine trying to sight this in without them. It is dead on. Having multiple arrow profiles is great. Especially when I want to switch between my hunting tips and field tips. Which unless they weighed exactly the same would mean a new sight in process at distances. Cause assuming they are close the first 10-20 yards of flight should be close anyways. I’ve gotten this now sighted in to 60yards dead on accurate. I’ve messed with the extended range option as well and would feel comfortable using it for target practice but there’s too much at stake in a hunting scenario. It’s definitely a luxury item. However, as a person who enjoys hunting and practicing good sportsmanship I find this a must for ethical hunters. Why leave it up to chance about the distance and making that shot on the vitals. When you can know the distance for sure and eliminate that one potential for error. I’ve harvested several animals with this sight and wouldn’t try to again without it. ... show more

  • Product Dead on Arrival, Battery Tabs Missing in Battery Compartment????
Style: Right -Handed
Kinda Pissed, Fiddle with this all night to realize battery tabs in battery compartment are missing and the unit will not turn on at all? It also appears this was an open boxed item, the packaging looked like it was previously opened and screws were loose in the box. Buyer Beware!

The fast laser range find itself is worth its extra weight. Quickly range and line up pin and loose. Set up takes a little time. Slight learning curve. But once you have it set up it is like a cheat code for ranging and having a direct pin. I have shot it out to 70 yards with no issues holding zero and correctly pinning to range. The blue arrow in the picture is my arrow at 64 yards. The grouping is 51 yards. I am going to partner it up with a gps handheld or watch and try to see how good the xero locations work from the laser ranging finder. Pros When comparing it to handheld laser range finders it distances to target exactly the same. Single pin for ranged target (can do a pin stack if you want) Flashing pins in opposite color of pin to tell you if you are canting the bow. Micro adjustability for a good zero. Cons Weight Set up time Neutral Learning curve To Summarize I friggin love it. ... show more

  • Don’t expect miracles
Style: Right -Handed
I like the technology but it is not like you can use it with same precision on 20 yards and 60yards. It is 3-5” off. You would have to set up new arrow for long range and for close range. Right now for 10-40 yards I have one arrow set up and for 40-70 yard another. The thing that detects your hand grip is amazing. You know right away something is wrong with the way you hold the bow. Not sure why but when you increase brightness of red dot it looks as three dots . Micro set up is pain and takes time to be perfect as shown in instructions but it is helpful for later usage. I was able to connect with 67i garmin satellite phone and it is helpful to track animal location after the shot is made. You can also keep tracking the animal before it drops by pointing to it and pressing the button. Overall for me it is must have technology if you go bow hunting. Not really for range. ... show more
