This is a great grill and ought to last a long time. However, I do not recommend digging a 36-inch hole, especially if you are short. It seemed too deep then, so we only went 30 inches. Even so, we ended up with a short BBQ height. I suggest testing the height before cementing it in that post. Amended: Now that the cement is cured, I added the BBQ. It is so short that my 4-year-old granddaughter would be the only one comfortable using it. The manufacturer needs to supply a top pole 10 inches higher than the one they provided. They have had to send the wrong length pole—two bottom poles. I am awaiting a response to rectify this problem. Great response by the manufacturer. They sent me a replacement post at no charge, including shipping. Pilot Rock is a great company and very responsive to customers, even if the customer is the one who screwed up. ... show more

    • I have a state park grill in my side yard
So many people who come over and ask how I (a cop) could have taken a grill from a state park. when I tell them I bought it on Amazon they are amazed. It is VERY heavy, so be prepared to need help if you are not capable of lifting 60 pounds of steel. Setting it into the ground was easy, and it even has a feature that once used, prevents anyone from stealing it after it's installed! I totally recommend this product. I also recommend purchasing the grill cover, and the grill cleaner fluid and scrubbing brushes to keep it nice and clean. FYI - I clean it after every use, and still no rust. ... show more

    • Very High Quality- Well Worth The Price!
This is a very good Grill. Installed at my Cabin over the weekend, replaced a competitors grill that was expensive but cheaply made. Excellent for grilling all items esprcially thick Steaks. The Flat-Top area is fantastic! Love this Pilot Rock CBP-247 HD Grill!

Got the grill delivered and installed looked great . Was installed plumb and level,after one small fire to help burn of the paint the grill is so warped it looks hideous...... Trust me do not buy....will be digging it out and sending it back concrete and all

We put this in at our camping property. It works great. Super easy to assemble, took a matter of mintutes for two of us. Seems pretty sturdy. Will update review after winter if any issue comes up.
