Normally this would be a 5-star fan. It is stylish, quiet as smoke, great features, terrific remote and excellent value. However, I lowered the rating because the Chinese installation instructions are worthless. There are missing steps and confusing terms throughout.. I was ready to return the fans until I watched the installation video on the Amazon product site. It turns out the installation is easy though you'd never know it from the printed version. The lesson: Buy and enjoy this fan - but throw away the printed instructions and watch the video. ... show more

Very poor quality performance as far as actually blowing enough air to even feel it on the highest speed it will go. If it didn’t take so long to get them installed by a friend, I would have returned both. The remote is not designed well either. I wish I wouldn’t have gotten these but went by reviews. Sometimes it’s successful and sometimes it doesn’t from reviews and 4+ stars. I have no idea why good reviews on an item that is basically useless for me. It’s pretty pathetic they don’t even blow enough to make my curtains or anything else move from the pathetic non existent air flow on high setting. The only positive thing is the black color & very quiet, but I think that’s because it’s not a strong enough fan. I have a small living room/dining room that both fans were installed in. Two fans at the opposite ends of the room is pretty bad to not feel any air moving. I might as well not even use them because you can’t tell the difference between the fans being on or off. The only thing that has worked is I have to use the reverse setting on the fan direction that at least blows enough to make the curtains move a little bit but still can’t feel much. If I had the money, I’d go to an actual store to see how well they worked and if it was a strong airflow like it should be. Heck, my pedestal fan blows a lot of air that really moves it around & now using those, too. Not worth the money and effort installing this fan or having to still buy other fans to compensate lack of air from these ceiling fans. ... show more
