So... I originally bought this tripod to use for mounting my phone to various things to get footage BUT... recently I saw that we were going to have a small window of good conditions at Acadia National Park. I quickly grabbed my photography gear, threw it in my car and raced off to the park (a 4-hour drive)... Once I got there, the sun was already setting and and clouds/fog were predicted to roll in in about an hour so... I quickly raced to my favorite photography spots (including the Thunder Hole and the Bass Harbor Lighthouse). Jumped out of my car, went to grab my photography gear and... wait... WHERE'S MY GIANT, HEAVY TRIPOD?!?! Apparently I left my tripod by the door when I was frantically throwing everything into my car... BUT... I did already have this little guy in my car so I decided to try it out with my DSLR and lo and behold... and to my utter amazement... IT WORKED! It actually held my camera (including large lens) firm and didn't suffer from the dragging effect that most ball-type tripods have (in that it starts to droop over time - completely ruining astrophotography shots). This allowed me to do my 30 second exposures to capture the Milky Way at the Thunder Hole and the eerie red light at the Bass Harbor Lighthouse (I was hoping to capture the milky way behind the Bass Harbor Lighthouse but the fog had already rolled in by then - still came out cool I think). This tripod completely saved me. It would have been a completely wasted trip without this thing. I'm honestly blown away by how well it worked and now I don't leave without it! I still take my large tripod but this is my go-to backup tripod. Plus this tripod wraps around branches and poles and stuff very well - allowing me to get some pretty unique perspectives in some cases. Anyway I just had to share this story and my impressions of this little, surpassingly awesome tripod that saved my booty on this trip. I've attached some of the photos from the trip so you can see what I would have missed :) It came in handy the next morning too for the sunrise over Cadillac Mountain! ... show more

I read the other reviews and thought that I would give this one a shot. I couldn't be more pleasantly surprised. It actually fits my needs perfectly. What I love about it is that it makes a great standard tripod and I can set it up anywhere and use the Bluetooth to take photos with it. It's the perfect height to sit on the table top and point directly at yourself. But even more so than that is the bendable legs. Now when I need to have the camera up higher or I need to get a certain angle I can place it anywhere. I can even take photos with it outside and I no longer need someone to hold the camera for me. I will definitely be taking it EVERYWHERE I go since I know it's going to help me get the best shot and no more stretching my arm out as far as possible to try to take a selfie. ... show more

    • My Advice after buying TWO of these - one year apart from each other

I bought this exact same product a year ago. I immediately bent the legs to latch it around a pole to hold my phone while videoing my art videos. The good news is that it was sturdy enough to hold my phone and it worked well "wrapped" around the pole. unfortunately, when I wanted to straighten it out again, it never quite recovered from being bent. So I continued to use it in positions that I could wrap it around an overhead bar or a side pole . Fast forward a year, I realize I really need a little tripod that will just STAND UP on my desk, and point directly down over my drawings. I decide to order this one again - and NOT bend it at all. The advice: It works great both ways....if you want it to be totally straight again though, don't bend it up, especially if you want it at its full height and completely level. This mini tripod is good for the price you pay. It has adjustable rotateable tripod head and comes with a bluetooth remote and cellphone bracket. The remote works fine and connect pretty fast to my iphone 11 pro max under the bluetooth nam AB Shutter3. It definitely comes handy in the case of when you are vlogging using your phone on a longer tripod or gorila pod so you can trigger the record button faster without touching the screen, or if you want to trigger the shutter without touching your screen when you are shooting on such a low shutter speed so you wont shake your phone at all. I will use this for my action cam as the 2nd or 3rd cam to be placed on certain spot when i want to capture multiple angles clips for my vlogs or something similar. Overall the build quality is good for the price, but you cant wrap the legs around a tree branch since they are not as bendy as the gorilla pod. The 4 star rating is for the smartphone bracket which will fail to hold your phone securely especially with a slippery phone case on in such a hard shakes or extreme movements. ... show more

This flexible phone tripod is a keeper. The legs are flexible but firm out of the box, used daily the legs became easier to manipulate. The phone clip isn't what I'd call secure but I used my own mount and was able to position not only my phone but also my Zoom recorder it with ease. The legs are textured with "neo-rubber" and its easy to hold. The wireless remote works fine but it's delicate (my camera button came off when I dropped it on low pile carpet). It worked with both (Note 9 and iPhone). However, you cannot use the remote for video on the android. One of my favorite pieces is the Ball-Head 360, even though it's plastic it's solid. It does allow you to angle 90 degrees for perpendicular shots (nice for overhead product reviews!). Overall, this is a nice little gadget to have. ... show more
