I purchased this tripod for a recent trip I took to Glacier National Park. It was very lightweight, worked as a selfie stick or tripod, and included a Bluetooth remote that magnetically attached to the tripod. The remote didn't influence my decision to purchase this particular tripod, but when I started using it, I really appreciated not needing to use the timer on my camera (and my family members appreciated how much faster I was able to take group photos when I didn't need to keep setting the timer). It also took very little room in my suitcase and hardly added any weight. The only downside was that it was not as stable on uneven surfaces or if the wind is blowing too hard. I was able to stabilize it by placing a backpack at the base when the wind was blowing or if I had it on too steep of an incline. For the price point, I think the benefits far outweighed the deficits. I was also thankful that I had the tripod with me to steady the camera since I was fortunate enough to visit while the Northern Lights were visible. ... show more

We did a lot of traveling this summer and bought this so we could take pictures out of the sunroof. The grip where you put your phone is great. It holds really well. You can't have a bulky ring on the back of your phone as it works way better without one and the chance of your phone falling off is better. Also, stick has a removable remote to take pictures. You can use the tripod and walk away to take a picture with the remote. It works even if you don't have it near the stick. You can take a handheld selfie without trying to hit the button on the phone, you can use the remote. This was a great feature as well. ... show more
